I was wondering what years did gm make fiberglass rear fenders? Just only come on dually boxes or regular step side boxes get them also in certain years? I know the two fenders are different also.

    questions..head work, cam sizes...etc

I wouldn't pay for porting unless they are going to put it on a flow bench and do it correctly. Sounds like the machine shop is going to smooth out your bowls and unshroud your valves, it would help but isnt prolly needed on your build. Gasket match it yourself and save yourself decent money.

    MSD ignition?

Do you have a return for your fuel? A buddy of mine doesn't and his pump is dead heading which makes it hard to start. Another moved the batteries into the cab also but had small cable since he had to run from the cab to a master battery shut off switch an then back to the starter. I was making...

I sold a np205 with adapter plate that was for a th350 trans. The guy who bought it had a 400 trans, I knew nothing like if it would work or not. He went to install it but The splines are different. He tore it apart thinking just swap the shafts out. The bearings are different too. I offered to...

    Questions on broken np205

I have heard of people breaking the rear housing on the t-case before just from breaking a u-joint. They are doing truck pulling and thats all they use it for. They put on a billet rear housing cover or whatever you want to call it.

    adding Guide Plates

If you pull the heads off you will need to replace the head gaskets then. I would figure out exactly what you want to do to your motor or what you expect out of it. Rather then paying for something twice or not using it after a few months. If your going to pull them off I would have them checked...

    adding Guide Plates

If you want after you get the guide plates put in you can. If it was me I would call a local machine shop and talk to them, not sure how much it is , or what is involved to get guide plates put in.

    adding Guide Plates

I believe all center bolt style valve cover heads use a self aligning rocker arms. If you put in the guide plates then you will have to get new non self aligning rockers.

Cam selection for a 70's Malibu

Do the lifters move freely in the lifter journal, valves adjusted correctly? Hate to see something happen to the new cam. If I was doing this I would call the brand of cam you want to go with and see what they think. When I was shopping for my cam they asked me everything about my motor and what...

Anyone know were I can get a Bell Crank Bracket at? I had a auto trans and I put in a sm465 with a mechanical clutch. I need the bracket that is riveted or bolted to the frame that supports the bell crank or z-bar. I can't find that bracket anywhere. I went to 2 junk yards and called 4 other...

    replaced heads/intake wont start

How did you adjust the valves? Did you prime the motor before you adjusted the valves and make sure you had oil coming out of the push rods? Do you have switched power going to the cap? Are the wires plugged into the cap? I've managed to think I had them plugged in but the plug was loose an it...

    unable to keep engine timed

Those 2 plates are for the vacuum advance and will move some. If I remember right there will be 2 springs that go from one plate to the other just underneath the rotor. In order to see them the rotor has to be taken off. They are small springs too. I can't describe it the best but they control...
