    SRW to DRW Understanding

Hello folks. For those that recall, I was here last summer asking for assistance identifying the truck I eventually bought. It is titled as a 1984 C20. After taking several pictures, talking with the seller, and several people on this forum we came to the agreement that from factory this is a...

    Question for the Pros

I tend to agree. I've seen some of these things go for way more in a lot worse shape. So I can't complain about it! RHP

    Question for the Pros

Thanks everyone for all the helping in identifying this thing! I’ve learned a ton in the short term that I’ve found this thing for sale. The owner did finally say that he vaguely remembers the original owner said a shop in KC would convert 3/4 trucks into duallies and said that this was one of...

    Question for the Pros

The current owner of the truck has owned the truck since 2003. So definitely nothing was done to it since then as far as modifying other things. He bought it from an elderly farmer that used it prior to that who he believes was the original owner of the vehicle.

    Question for the Pros

    Question for the Pros

Here are some more pics. Bummed I didn’t check this while I was out there. So didn’t check the glove box. There is no overload spring like I expected to see on a 1T chassis. Is that normal? The shocks were mounted in the correct spot that was reported to be normal 1T stuff.

    Question for the Pros

It's fairly safe to say that the frame would have to be in fact a 1T based on the fact that the wheel base is so much longer than a regular cab. Wouldn't be able to get a 3+3 cab and bed to bolt on an actual 3/4 frame without obvious modifications. Sorry if that sounds dumb, but just trying to...

    Question for the Pros

@Craig 85 Thanks for the explanation and details! That should be easy to identify. Also gives me something else to research with the gas door. Seems this truck may have been pieced together. Older bed with C20 3+3 cab. Question is, is it on a 3/4T frame with DRW conversion. Or is it on a 1T...

    Question for the Pros

@Craig 85 Been looking for pics of chassis. Question for you to confirm what you're saying. The C30's will have shocks mounted inside the frame vs C20's shocks will be mounted on the outside of the frame? Also, you mention that they are "reversed" on the 1/2 and 3/4T trucks. Is that mentioning...

    Question for the Pros

I'll let you all be the judge. Any thoughts? Questions I need to be sure to ask about it? What is a "must look at" for these trucks. Thanks for you input. RHP

    Question for the Pros

Gonna see how the walk around goes. Thanks for the info! Thats great. I do have the VIN and it's decoding to be a C20. It's also showing the 350 engine, though I'm being told it's for sure the 454. Guess time will tell.

    Question for the Pros

Thanks so much! I was perplexed as to there being factory 3/4T duallies.

    Question for the Pros

Good evening folks, I'm new here and also new to the square body world. Its been a dream of mine to own an '80s square body dually and it seems my chance has arrived. Though I have a few questions to ask before I make the jump. The ad listed the truck as a 1984 Chevy 3/4T Dually with the...
