    new heads are on. did it all over the weekend. Got the new heads friday night had the engine torn down and was able to paint the new heads on Saturday. i was able to get one side on before i had to leave the house saturday night then i got it all buttoned up on Sunday. it runs a million times...

    The guy said he would take a 100 if i went and got them tomorrow. i just asked about going to get them checked. I still think i should just go with the 882s its cheaper. and then save the money for later. on the other hand i could get a better set of heads from only an extra hundred bucks

    My dad actually has one that plugs into your phone so I might give that a try. I graduate may 24th I think it'll be okay for school and back I only go a max speed of 45 between school and my house nothing above 2000 rpm.

I pulled my valve covers today to confirm which side has the 305 head. and it turns out the side that is smoking is the 350 head its a 441. The 350 head is also the side that im 90% sure the pinging is coming from. I havent heard the ping...

    This wasn't a performance build so I don't think it's got dish pistons. The engine currently in the truck won't ever be built for performance just as a driver. If I ever build a performance engine to put in something it'll probably be in a car. All I need this engine to do is get me from A to B...

    Just called the machine shop today and i will be taking my heads down tomorrow. they said it'll run about 100 bucks each to have them completely rebuilt top to bottom. said they would be ready by Wednesday. I'll be starting my build forum soon so be sure to check that out.

    I have a set of 882s but I won't have them rebuilt I'm gonna go with my 487s. I have yet to call the shop but I'll call them in a little while and let you guys know what the deal is.

    Well I've been reading about them and everything I've read said they are pretty good for a daily driver head. There is a shop near me that will surface and do a valve job for 60 bucks a head so I'm gonna call tomorrow and see what I can do
