RECOVERED AFTER STOLEN..HOW TO PREVENT THIS AGAIN

Park with your grill close to something like a wall, ditch or anything that someone can't just get a tow dolly past. Park with the wheels turned left or right to full lock. Install one the disconnect switch ideas already stated in previous comments (I like the fused HEI to ground switch). Also...

    Sweet D30 on Govdeals

Every time I see one on there it ends up going for 5k or better. A little more than I can justify for parts I just want.

    bed side panel removal

I have the same thing happening with one of my trucks. PO beat the sides on anything that came by apparently. I bought it and a parts truck for $1,500. I'm taking the bed sides off and swapping them currently

    73-87 doors

I got a set of doors from a 75 cc to put on my 87 cc, they fit well enough that I couldn't see anything wrong. These were just gotten to keep the rain out since my doors needed windows, and we're fairly cheap. I have not driven it down the road so I can't say they won't whistle though.

Dumb, no stupid things PO's have done to you

Wood screws to mount air dams on front and rear. Sheet metal screws to mount expanded aluminum accent pieces. Silver marker pen to add "matching" interior accents on a Civic del-sol. Current 87 4x GMC include standard wire butchery, installation of a q-jet where I think a tbi had been with the...

Tires/Wheels from newer Suburban to my 88 Suburban

Might look at something off of a 90's Toyota. My 94 pickup has the same bolt pattern as my dad's 75 K10. May find something newer "fancier" aluminum. I just got a set of 16" aluminums for the tires for 200. They have cosmetic issues themselves but could be cleaned and painted cheap.

    Factory or Dealer item?

Sold at Auto parts stores everywhere, in the day. I sold a good pile of them at a local company in 94 era, before they became Advance Auto

    Pre cut window tint

I use 0000 steel wool to clean my windshield. It's too fine to scratch the glass, on my work truck and my wife's Highlander. Got the idea from a YouTube video on rainX for an RV. Works good in my opinion. I used the AutoZone tint on the work truck. I'm no tinter by far, but it cuts down on the...

I've been thinking about that. I will only need room in a bed for a deer or fishing stuff. I'm hoping to have a truck that I can carry my wife and three kids to the woods. Currently all 3 are in carseats

I'm wondering how difficult it would be to put my CC on the 78 4wd longbed I'm going to get for my drivetrain

Watching this! I've got an 87 I'm going to do the same thing with. Only I couldn't find that good of a deal.

    Need better fuel mileage

I once bought a mid 80's Camry for$200. It was a 4cyl auto, the radio and AC didn't work. That little POS got 27 mpg everywhere I pointed it for 3 years. Like a true DA I traded it to an even bigger DA for something that I had to work on. Basically I'm saying an old Toyota beater could be the...
