'87 Crewcab 5.9 Cummins/trans ID
Inherited this from my dad. He's had it since '99 and has a fantastic paper trail of all work. I'm pretty sure it's a 5.9 twelve valve, 6bt?. What I do not know is what type transmission this is. '04 6.0 Alt./Pwr. Brackets
Why are alternator/power steering brackets so predominant in the aftermarket? Is it for relocation of upper radiator hose, looks, clearance issues or a bigger amp alternator? Seems to me the one that came with my pullout will work just fine, but I wanna be heads up if there's something that can...- calmtspot

New guy here. Wrenched a bit and glad to have been accepted.
'85 C20 w/QUAD headlights. On highbeam, the old and new headlight switch has/will set internal breaker?, after 10 or so mins. All headlights will go out. Switch to low beams and the low beams will work. After a bit(switch cools) wash, rinse, repeat. 10.1.0 (yellow) at headlight switch to dimmer...- calmtspot
