I looked up quick disconnects for jeeps but different for ifs set up than solid axle so dont know if there is a set up for it or not....plus I uave to move endlinks due to lift per install instructions, so likley will have to revisit it. Picked these up today...luckily all in stock... I considered ebc drilled and slotted with hawk performance pads but $280 vs 150 plus I got new shoes as my rear rotors were reusable... Gonna go to recyclers for sway bar I threw out :whymewhyme: for $50 to make it better through turns as she...- Mackadocious916

Was gunna post, but ended up watching the whole episode.... I love that show and roadkill.... Hes had a lot of good projects with clampy, frederai, the fj80 series, etc. So I went out to paint the rack today, I had worked 5x12s two weeks and havent had much time lately... Had to get a new uni bit and some mounting hardware.... Got her done.... The plate itself is pretty beat... Took on some five minute runs to build confidence in steering, and so far feels solid. I had took the strut and sway bar off for more articulation, but def feel the difference in body roll...- Mackadocious916

Went out and vacumed because it got really filthy with the not even roadside but on road repair... Here's the pedals again... My foot really rests on the top of he dead pedal, so the bolt won't be a problem with wet foot slippage... Started working on mounting my front plate since CA law says...- Mackadocious916

I do not think the two easy to access bolts on the formerly broze color block were the issue, I think somehow the bolt right near the rack, either wasnt completely tightened, because when I turned around 5mph it seemed to have popped up and off to where the steering wheel was free spinning... Much more room for the 32s, I think 33s would roll, but rub in curbs let alone ditches.... I took her around a few corners, then later up a few streets and back.. The steering felt solid, but I need to continie to test it and keep an eye on it...- Mackadocious916

Ill get a pic when I detail her again should show it better.... Some before and afters of the steering rack and bolt... SRed threadlock on all three bolts, and I put extensions on electric impact and ran her home with a few extra blurps...decided to spray the assembly black so if it slid any...- Mackadocious916

Thats exaclty what I used in all three bolts. Appreciate it. For right now it has been.pretty stuff but I havent driven much with everything together. I think 32" is winner... I would live to try a 33/9.5/15... This is how I limped it home glbefore I started working on her today...- Mackadocious916

So this is what connects the steering wheel to the steering rack in this car... This was the bolt that came.loose and the piece popped off.... Had to take off the top two bolts on brass piece to get the assemblyout and re installed.... What sucked was burnning backside of hand on...- Mackadocious916

Well... I just had an unsettling experience.... So my girl walked to the end of the street to the corner store, and I figured I got a few minutes before work, ill go pick her up in the truck.... No ramps but thats a good idea... Im scared if I jump her the front end may explode like Forrest Gumps leg braces when he started running... But maybe I can find like a warehouse area behind strip mall with lowered section for loading trucks and drive up an angled ledge....feelin the sliders...- Mackadocious916

I think I'd need some king coil/bypass shocks for a 3ft jump at speed... But at least this side is done...Even though I jave made room for the 33s, I wonder if slogging up a slip and.being semi sacked out if they would rub at an angle... Or eith heavy mud there between tire if it would be...- Mackadocious916
