New member with new truck from bay area, California

Welcome. My first thought about the engine was yank it. Anything is better than a 305 but with milage like that, i wouldnt touch it. Personally id sell it to someone who would keep it in the garage and take it out on nice days. Too nice of a truck for my situation but yours might be different...

    How to... lift Suburban 4x4

Welcome. I used a kit from zone offroad. Came with front 4" front lift springs, blocks for the back, 4 shocks, raised steering arm, new u-bolts and hardware for the shocks. Not as pricey as some of the better names and the springs are a little stiff but it rides way better than it did on the old...

    Pilot Bearing

The bread doesnt have to be wet. Probly less messy than wet paper too. Just break off pieces and beat them in there till the bushing falls out. Then dig the resulting "biscuit" out.

    Pilot Bearing

Not sure if it works on a needle bearing, but ive used bread to get a bushing out. Worked like a charm. Not as messy as grease.

    TH400 Problem

My passenger caliper was dragging and i stared with hoses. Next hardlines. Then calipers is what eventually fixed it. The pistons get pitted and drag in the seal. It can be just the hoses tho so hopefully thats all urs needs
