    Wipers won't turn off automatically

    Ok, I know this has been a problem with GM cars and trucks, but this is the first time I've ever had this happen. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    We had these "dynos" in N.Y. up until about 15 years ago I believe. They strapped my poor ol 92 square S15 Jimmy to it and revved it untill it passed, failed, or blew up.

    Some states don't require an emissions test, just a safety inspection. Lights, brakes, ect. I was going to buy a beautiful 96 1500 short bed from NJ, but the cats and o2 sensors were removed. That wouldn't fly in NY. One emission code here is a failure.

    Nothing is cheap for it, LOL! It actually never breaks down, and has never left me anywhere. I've owned four wheel drive trucks all my life, Jeeps, Chevy pickups and Blazers. This thing is unstoppable and would embarrass any other stock 4×4. I am still picking my wrenches out of my nehbors...

    I would just put some shorty headers on it if deleting the cats is the plan. A muffler shop can easily fab up a real duel exhaust system for it.

    My 1988 Danish military 461-240GD . I swapped out the gutless 4 cylinder 240 diesel and installed a 3L 300 SD turbocharged 5 cylinder diesel and a 5 speed.

    The ECM can be re flashed to 02 delete, depending on what kind of DMV inspection is required should be considered. Re flashing makes the ECM think the o2 sensors are happy.

    Yeah, but you can still break the housing with the torque that engine will make. It's a bit much for a 4×4 truck.

    I would be weary of putting that kind of power through a chain driven transfer case. Perhaps an NP205 may be a better choice. They were also common behind the TH400.

    It's possible to change the shaft to a 32 spline, but it's not worth splitting the case, new gaskets, seals bla bla unless you plan on rebuilding the entire transfer case.

    The NP208 had two different versions. 27 spline for the700R4 and 32 spline for the Turbo 400. Just my 2 cents, but as old a design as the TH400 is, it is a far superior transmission to the 700R4 no matter what internals you put in it. Probably the best automatic transmission ever made.

    Second Trans failure in 200 miles

    First, always run an external cooler with a 700R4, preferably a fan driven one. The shop more than likely didn't set and adjust the cable properly. I installed my own Monster 700R4 years ago and set and adjust the three times before I was satisfied with the adjustment.

    Just when I start it. The usual screaming belts, and every so often I get the buzz. It actually vibrates through the dash and stops along with the belt noise. I don't get it .

    My hydroboost unit has a loud buzzing noise sometimes. It happened again yesterday and the strange thing about it is the belts stopped squealing when the buzzing stopped. Belt squealing is common with CUCV trucks and is associated with the dual alternator setup when the engine is cold. Any ideas?
