    Factory way was a coarse threaded stud that threaded into the bedside. I don’t have a picture handy but they aren’t reproduced that I know of. I like the insert idea offered above. That would preserve removability and still hold well.

    Ok, I’m thinking it was not in fact a cab and chassis. I wasn’t educated on the topic and it sounds like c&c has flat rails. Mine has humps in the frame rails. Any hints on adaptability of flatbeds to it?

    If it runs fine after warm, then start with the obvious: is the fast idle screw too high? Thats the idle screw that contacts the cam on the choke linkage.

    I'm sitting at about 1000 above sea level and have had one of the 3 CFM harbor freight units for a few years. It pulls down to about 29 in at least based on my gauges. I think it's the 3CFM ("2 stage") one.

    Pretty sure it's for the cruise control module. It doesn't actually physically hold the pedal in place but is the electronic module mounting spot IIRC. throttle on an '84 would be held by a vacuum servo on the firewall side of the carb next to the distributor.
