Most parts on these ole trucks can be installed using enough beer, 3 ft crow bar and 3 lb. hammer. Key word is ENOUGH beer!:party52: Hope this helps!! lol
Unfortunately it seems more and more companies will claim anything to make the product more appealing just to get that all mighty dollar out of your pocket and into theirs! Once that happens it's all bets off and they could give a crapola about you! The current way of the world unfortunately!:(
It is currently awaiting it's turn for my "loving" attention!!! I moved this 3310 to the front of the line as I can use it on my hunk of junk if necessary! Lol:favorites13:
Spent most of the afternoon just enjoying the day in 'the Cave" with "the Bear" on the radio listening to the top 500 rock countdown and finishing up cleaning the parts for my spare Holley carb rebuild. Having them soaking in Chem-Dip for over a month has removed most of the factory zinc cadmium...
No, not yet but still on the to do list! Unfortunately, I'm not rich like most of you guys and being retired now does mean I have to work within a limited budget!:( So I do what I can when I can! Plus, I'm a cheap bastard, lol.
Well thanks Andrew, but another member located a set on marketplace and they are right here in Texas a little over 2 hours from me and the wife has been wanting to get out of town for a bit so would make a nice day trip. Will probably go that route. Thanks anyway!!:happy160:
Unfortunately probably won't make it there in this lifetime.:( Price? Would be very interested in seeing a few pics to see condition along with a shipping quote to zip 76351. Ya never know, it could come to pass. They would make life a whole lot easier as it is becoming increasingly difficult to...
Have been looking around for awhile for a pair of diamond plate running boards for my '85 crew cab dually. Want a set exactly like the ones in the attached photo courtesy of @shiftpro. Don't necessarily need the mounting brackets as those are easily enough fabricated but do want a set...
Yes, it is but probably not near what it was back in the 70's!! I remember going on the 'Fox Hunts' on Friday & Saturday nights in school, was the big thing back then and a blast! I have generally always had a cb in my vehicle and over the years they have saved my ass a couple times. Now with...
Got off my ass and got the 'Beast' inspected today and registered, so now sporting a new sticker!! Then after lunch reinstalled my old Pioneer Stereo and CD player and it sounds much better since I replaced the two dash speakers. The old ones weren't even plugged up when I got the truck, what a...
No fricken way my ass would slide under that!!!!! Looks like it could be very unstable to me but JMO!!:smoke2: Select carefully my friend, your life could depend on it!!!!!
You will want to use the 1/2 to be sure to be wide enough to cover the holes completely. It is the perfect size and will not show. I ordered the tape off Ebay and for just 2 drip rails you will need approx 9-10 ft. that will give you a bit to play with. It is also what I attached my fender...
When I replaced the drip rails on my dually I used 3M double sided foam tape. Buffed off the old stuff to clean metal. Just be sure if you go this route to have it perfectly positioned when you press it into place because this stuff has some serious adhesion! I didn't even need to reinstall...
Ain't done a damn thing to it today except look at it and think about all the little stuff I should be doing to it. 'Lone Star' sure has a way of helping you figure out it will still be there tomorrow! Lol:party52:
Finally felt like getting out and tinkering with my hunk of junk today. Didn't accomplish much but did get the new to me shift indicator needle, courtesy of @bucket installed and got the qauge cluster back in. Going to get it inspected Monday and pay the state their unfair share so I can run...
