    Mar-K Truck Toolbox for Stepside

I just want to haul a few tools and misc items while I'm traveling/ car shows. I've considered the Mar-K one for my C10 fleetside and also just using an old metal Coleman cooler and painting it to match the truck and mounting it for storage. I've come across a few old coolers but they all have...

Recommend Me a Reliable/Budget Serpentine Kit

    E-brake options after BIG lift?

I installed a 14BFF in my Jimmy(K5) along with disc brakes. I mounted my calipers upside down with the left on the right, right on left. This allowed the cables to go over the axle and not snag and additional few inches of slack. To bleed, I'd unbolt and turn the bleeder up and put a small...

    Steering column Pivot pin

The other thing I am thinking is if you might end up needing a new column regardless, you could also jb weld it in. I just don't want you to jeopardize yours or anyone's safety if anything were to fail.

    Steering column Pivot pin

Typically on a lathe, however I worked at a shop when I was a kid that had a rollers that went between a vise for threaded inserts and a special set-up for pistons. I would bring the pin to a gunsmith and see if they can do it. You might try putting the pin between 2 files on a vise. All you...

    Steering column Pivot pin

Does it go in too easily? If the hole is too loose you can knurl the pin.

    Replacement doors?

What part of PHX? Adam in Apache Junction, Trucking Crazy on East side as well, John in Peoria all usually have good used doors from 80+ Burb part outs. Trucking Crazy also stocks rebuilt vent window assemblies. For new LMC quality parts, The Chrome Guy in Glendale stocks a lot of 67-72, 73-87.

    67 Mile V10

And why a repop sticker when you bought the car fully knowing you were never going to drive it. You'd have kept the original.

    67 Mile V10

Question...is that the stock rear bumper??? If not, I find it odd that someone would buy a vehicle knowing they plan to never drive it and keep as collector vehicles yet swap rear bumpers and remove all the protective plastic. Used to see a lot of auctions for Buick GN's with no miles and all...

    fixing hood hinges

Have you cleaned and greased the hinges? I've had that be the source of problems more than once. Also, I know you have the LMC braces but there is another brace from Holley/ brothers that saddles the weak spot and is better.

What have you done to your square lately??

We built this motor over 20 years ago and I wanted to pull it apart to check it out, clean, paint, etc. Took me over an hour to pull the pan off as the 1 piece seal had RTV on both sides and I was trying to keep the pan rails straight and not damage the pan paint. Motor looks good though.

    K5 Blazer values… possibly buying 86 k5

I think that's a fair price. It looks complete and unmolested. You don't have to undo someone else's "improvements"

They look nice and am interested in how they turn out if you get a set. There is also Dojamat that I am considering

    T-tops for C10

I 100% agree with you. For $500 I'd buy them but really don't know if I'd ever use them. I don't think they'd work in a Blazer as the inner roof was different as it has more roll over protection.

    T-tops for C10

I googled 10 different ways and couldn't find any images. Not something I would do but I was interested to see what it looks like.

    T-tops for C10

Anyone ever see a square body with T-tops? Saw this ad in a newsletter and it sparked my curiosity. I emailed but haven't heard back.

Bed mounting hardware for short box step side.

If you are redoing the wood and want something custom...you can use bolts from the bottom and put nuts on the cross rails for a clean look. I did that on our 77.

Bed mounting hardware for short box step side.

I tried a few years ago to tell LMC a simple part was wrong and I gave up. The part was a $1 nut that was supposed to be fine thread and they mispackaged it with coarse. I was just trying to help them out so customers wouldn't be upset. They wanted pictures, documentation, etc. I told them to...

Differences in dash metal by radio cutout?

The bezel is not reproduced at this time however they are regularly available in good used condition as they are essentially the newest bezel made and in low demand as only used on those years. I have a couple woodgrain and silver faced. I'm looking for a plain black style.

    Really tight front brakes!

I think I'd take the calipers back off and take a good look at everything. Recheck wheel bearing tightness. Clean and compress pistons and reinstall and see if it improves. Piston should be slow but steady when compressing similar to compressing a shock. If your calipers physically look good...

If, after you've sorted everything else out, you still want to buy a new carb...check out carburetors unlimited in Peoria, AZ. He only does Quads and been in business 40-50 years. I'm very happy with his work.
