What have you done to your square lately??

What have you done to your square lately??

Slow going lately, but.......... Added some leftover Kilmat to the inside of the doors. Then, since I don't need a cig lighter, I cut up an old kick panel and made a "face plate" for a USB port to go where the ashtray was. The old lighter was wired to the battery, but I wired it to the ignition...

What have you done to your square lately??

Chris, I ordered one box of Kilmat. It was a box of 47 pieces. It was enough to cover the cab floor and back panel. I ended up getting a second box to do the roof and doubled up on the floor and there's enough to do the doors now too. Doesn't come with the tape. I used the HVAC seam tape. Sticks...

C10 Nationals in Nashville October 1-2

I've been to the one in Fort Worth. Had around 2,000 entries. It is a fun event. Lots of vendors, a swap meet and other stuff going on. This is the 1st time in Nashville. They also have one planned for Kansas City at the speedway in 2022. Yes, there are 4x4 trucks, no El Caminos or S10s though...

What have you done to your square lately??

Today: Put the new door seals in. Put the old headliner back in................. a little bit of a challenge by one's self. Cleaned it, looks better outside the cab Added some of the newly painted trim parts. Cleaned, painted and reinstalled the rear speaker brackets & speakers. (I'll have to...

What have you done to your square lately??

I ordered the Kilmat from Amazon. They have 2 thicknesses. 50 or 80 mil. I got the 50, but had enough extra & some of another brand to double up a few places and put some in the doors. A box (47 sheets) will do a standard cab 1 time.

What have you done to your square lately??

Doesn't look like a lot, but it's several hours work for me. At least I'm putting something "back in" instead of taking it out/off. Have some sheets left over, so the vulnerable area like the back panel will get 2 layers. Definitely does make a difference.

Catalytic converters: does your square have them?

My '83 GMC has one, but when I get to the point of switching engines, it'll be left off.......... (I live in Mississippi............ think they worry about pollution? :laughing1:) If you want to take yours off....... Just park it in Memphis overnight and they will remove it for FREE ! :superhack:

What have you done to your square lately??

While the interior is all out of my truck, I finally got around to replacing the heater core today. It wasn't as bad as I had dreaded. Got the air box out, took off the HC, then cleaned all that stuff up & added new foam seals where needed before putting the whole unit back in. Now I can start...
