    Importance of charcoal (Evap) canister

Sooooooo ....... If I do the above recommendation, can I use a 2 port sending unit instead of a 3 port one like my OEM set-up? I'm fixin' to buy a SU for my new gas tank and if I don't need the canister and extra port, why buy it. Can I just use the 2 port version?

    Target Master worth performance parts?

Thanks for the input guys, don't mean to open up an old can of worms here. In my area, machine shops are either............ Not no, but HELL no or non existent. I've researched it a good bit and selling it and buying a "better" crate engine is looking better.

    Target Master worth performance parts?

Not meaning to detract from this topic............... But ! I have a GM 350 crate engine # 12568758 still in the box) that is a TBI replacement for '87ish to '96ish trucks. It's a center bolt valve cover, no Vortec, no manual fuel pump provision & 1 pc rear main seal. Is it doable for the above...

    Tachometer replacement thoughts

I did mine as well as a lot more while the entire interior was out in about 6 weeks last summer. I had to wait on parts and do "other things" also. But, if you had all the parts, were pretty organized and stayed after it, the gauges could be done in a few days I would think.

    Tachometer replacement thoughts

Here's the list of parts I ordered from LMC. My truck is an '83 GMC Sierra Classic. Parts differ for other years. This process isn't too hard to do. I removed the dash pad, helps a lot. Make sure the speedo and tach wires go in correctly so you don't have to remove the cluster after installing...

    Tachometer replacement thoughts

Last summer I replaced the big gas gauge with a tach and moved the gas gauge to where the clock was. I tried to order the "kit" to do this from LMC. It was backordered for 6 - 8 months. I finally got tired of waiting and ordered all the individual pieces which "amazingly" they had. Paid about...

They stopped registration at 1700 trucks (GM only) for this year. Registration was all online. So if'n you go, you can't sign in your truck on show days. Next weekend.......... be there or be somewhere else !

What have you done to your square lately??

I know it isn't an earth shattering deal, but I finally got this missing piece of my (unobtainable new) grille replaced. (Thanks to FireTruck1984 for the partial grille piece) The GMC letters look different on the 2nd pic due to the shade. Not perfect, but works for me......... Before After

    Newbie here . . .

Welcome to the site, Jay. Your truck looks like it's coming along nicely. I'll be watching your progress. Can you tell me what transmission crossmember you have there in the 2nd photo? I'm thinking the 4L60 and 700R4 would mount the same way? Thanks
