Code thrown but not for my year/MAP issue

Just now really trying to get this thing on the road. Drove it a mile down the road to get some gas. I pulled out in traffic kind of quick and it squawked and bogged for a couple of seconds and then came back around just fine but lit up the check engine light. Took it back to the house. The...

DIY spray coatings “garage test” review- Dupli-Color Sound Dampening, Dupli-Color Truck Bedliner, Rugged Restore Barricade Truck Bedliner

Cool testing. I like to find other uses for things too. Been toying with different kinds of mastic. Im a painter. If a product offers itself in multiple versions for like a roll on, aerosol, brush on or conventional spray then each product will be a little different. Bedliner is a great...

What did you pay for a square

Agreed. I got my burb 4 years ago. The market was what I'd call normal then. Now in my area I wouldn't be able to touch it for less than double what I paid. It was cool to get an already lifted truck but having to replace the 37s and swapping from 17-in to 16.5 rims was way more expensive than...

1990 suburban Factory roof rack location

Close to the same here. Went and got a 91 FSJ grand waggy with full width highpinion 44 and 14 bolt in back. Had a wild horses doubler. Found damage around engine to frame and steering box. Parted it out and got the burb instead.

What did you pay for a square

Might as well play. Paid $3,500. 91 burb 1500 Scottsdale with 3/4 axles, 6" lift, old hummer tires, crusty winch bumper and a broken Toreson or Torsen winch. Pretty clean. Axles not as much. Fading clear coat. Not wheeled. I was happy.

What ya'll think of these new wheels/tires? I dig em. Any shock suggestions?

Your springs are pretty flat upon closer inspection, so I guess the tire would move forward during bump because of the shackle swing. The picture is deceiving it looks like it would hit at full lock.

    Bilstein Shocks Bushing/Sleeve Question

No sleeves in mine. That front lower looks squished bad. I don't see them lasting very long.

Oh yeah. I know all about the product sharing. Since its a square site I try to stay talking about squares but... My Yj: AMC body, AMC 4.2, Mitsubishi starter solenoid, S-10 steering column, gm keys, Peugeot transmission, gm S-10 headlights, ford ignition system... Quite the mut. My 69...

Help ID where ground wire goes

Just went and checked my 91 suburban and the only white wires in that area for me goes to the injectors and the only other white wire I can see goes to the throttle position sensor. In your pic you have a wire loom coming from behind the brake booster area that I don't have. if it wasn't pouring...

Where can I find these seat covers?

I had some in an obs that looked very much the same as that but they were tan made by Katzkin iirc. They were nice. It looks like they might be seats out of an OBS too.

1990 suburban Factory roof rack location

Yeah I don't know if these are Factory or dealer installed or what. Strangely enough I parted out a 91 Grand Wagoneer and it had the exact same rack on the top. The only difference was on the side of the mounts there was small stickers with wood grain to match the wood grain Style on the Grand...

    Bilstein Shocks Bushing/Sleeve Question

I had no problems putting on a set. They were long enough for my 6" lift. I ordered them by length. 33-185552 B8 5125 front and 33-185569 B8 5125 rear. Slid on like they were supposed to. Zero complaints.

1990 suburban Factory roof rack location

Back mount. Front of burb to the left. Im looking straight up, with the beginning of the tape in line with the body where the wire disappears in the pic. Looking out the back of the burb.. The distance from that rooftop body line decreases as it starts to round to the back. Its more like 1 1/4"...

1990 suburban Factory roof rack location

Middle mount. It measures the same from that roof bodyline, 1 3/4". Again, front of burb to the left. Sorry this one got turned. Middle mount again. The measure in this pic obviously reflects the location of the mount to that body line not the bolt hole center. Front of burb would be up in this pic

1990 suburban Factory roof rack location

This is the front mount on the outside. Here you can see the bodyline I was referencing on the inside, but on the outside. The long pine needle is set right along it just in case it didn't come out well in the picture.

1990 suburban Factory roof rack location

I'll see if I can help. I didn't mount mine and don't know if it's in the correct location or not. It works but there's some things I would change. If it was me I would just put it all together lay it down on the roof make sure it's close to square and drill some holes. More on that after some...

What have you done to your square lately??

Decided to start messing with the rear heater in the burb. All the parts were in a box in the back with a destroyed housing. Looks like I'll be making my own box or surround for it. Hopefully something that's strong enough to not be broken again next time Filled the core and it leaked.. bummer...

    Axle swap help

They should just fine. 74 should have a 44 not a 10 bolt but doesn't really matter. Are you doing it for the gear change? 4.10- 4.11 comes in a lot of 3/4 ton running gear. Though it means a wheel swap though too of you were to go that route. I get it though if you got a deal for the axles
