    Show your daily driver

No regrets at all. I've loved this truck since before I knew anything about cars. I'm quite promiscuous about my 4x4s. Hard to not be when even my stupid Jeep is part AMC, Chrysler, XJ, Ford, Chevy and even Peugeot, or was. Took the french bicycle makers garbage out. @SirRobyn0 I'll gladly take...

    Show your daily driver

My daily for past 12ish years. My grand dads 76 F250. Eat your hearts out ford haters. Mild built FE with a grunt cam. It's loud & obnoxious, 8 mpg going downhill, and scares the hell out of new car drivers. My work van behind it is just an appliance or a toolbox on wheels.

    1977 K10 Frame with 86 Cab Help

I had to oval the holes in the 84 core support I put on a 78 frame. Depending on the year of the core support you may have to do the same. Everything else was same ish.

    For the Handicapped

I know that there is some powered steps that lower when you open the door and go back up when you close then. I don't know if they make them for a square but it might not be hard to make some work. There is a thread here that might help called 'amp power steps on a K5 solved' sorry I don't know...

    Old77's Jeep Thread

Sweet. I'll be watching. My trail toy is a YJ with lots of custom work. The one major piece of advice I would give you is to swap out all of the Torx head bolts for regular hex head bolts as you can. Can't tell you how many I've had to cut out.

Cab swap years and also cab removal.

I put a 84 dual headlight front clip on a 78 k5. So the opposite way you're going. As you mentioned the hood and mounting is different. The 80's cab will have a cowl piece with tall pedestals for the wipers. You won't need the cowl with the early hood and you'll have to change to the short...

    Ford Trash Talk Thread lol

The wife drove one like that of her moms. Can't remember the year but it was the twin turbo V6 one. She hated parking that thing.

    Ford Trash Talk Thread lol

Well I have to admit right now I'm only five pages in and there's some better stuff so maybe I was wrong. Love the mustang cracks. Of course I have to have one too dammit. I get around.

    Ford Trash Talk Thread lol

What the heck? So I find this 'fords suck' thread and I'm like sweet I'll check it out. I go back 3 pages and read to current and... mostly clucking about hood struts? Sheesh. I'm gonna go read from the beginning now in hope of some good trash talk. My 76 F250 in the driveway is laughing at...

Two for One trade to get the GMC my father bought new in 1972!

Wonderful story. Sounds familiar. You made the right call. I drive my grandfathers 76 F250 he bought new and have my old man's 62 PowerWagon coming up on the project list. I would have never forgiven myself if I would have let them go. Both trucks will be passed down to my kids, and they already...

Code thrown but not for my year/MAP issue

@AuroraGirl the threads were coated with very wet oil, not as dry as in your plug on the left. There really wasnt any oil on the smooth silver portion that's outside the head when the plug is installed. Maybe the taper is decent? But with the threads being so coated you could be onto something...

Code thrown but not for my year/MAP issue

I sure can. I don't drive it a lot yet so it might take a minute but I definitely will. They were way worse than the one on the left it your picture.

Code thrown but not for my year/MAP issue

The wires are brand spanking new blue streaks with a couple hours run time. Put new ones on in an attempt to sort out the miss. Spent a good deal of time separating them with a zip tie loom. I had found one of the old wires kinda burnt. I tested them for resistance and they all were fine but it...

Code thrown but not for my year/MAP issue

@AuroraGirl running them at 35. And I mean AC Delco CR43TS and CR45TS, fingers just got lazy. I may try the anti foulers if the plugs die too quickly.

91 burb runs terrible in reverse

I did a bunch of looking and wire wiggling. Didn't find anything that stood out. I did however find a couple spark plugs were oil fouled dealing with other issues. That was the miss I was feeling. Cleaned the plugs and it stopped acting weird in reverse. I can't say if it was the wire wiggle...

Code thrown but not for my year/MAP issue

A little update Still running and driving good so far. Took it to cut some wood and when I got home I checked #4 and #6 plugs again. I wanted to see how quick they got covered it oil. After maybe 20 miles and 20 minutes of run time from the trip they were looking about ready to foul. Even the...

    Going Poly

I had to do every kind of destruction to get the last set of oem style I removed. @SquareRoot have you ever tried Delrin? I've never tried to make a leaf spring bushing but you can buy blocks of it to make bushings out of it.

What have you done to your square lately??

Trying my hand at making a rear heater box for my Suburban. Making kind of a prototype first so I can figure out how I want it. Uses all the original parts. Just want it to be more sturdy so it can't get hit by stuff and broken.
