    Oh no kidding, yeah I personally wouldn't bother with that old fiber board going back in either. Did you get the ABS plastic one? That's what I'm putting in, with a black vinyl covering.     Definitely can happen with the ones that hook over the coils. This one goes up through the center of the coil and the two steel plates collapse the spring but also trap it in place so bad things can't happen.

    As stated, it is correct. It has to do with the fact that the side marker lights don't have their own ground, they are powered through the front turn signal bulbs. So when the parking lights are on, and the turn signal is activated, the side marker light goes out when the front turn signal...
