    Really tight front brakes!

Yes I compared the new bearings with old ones. They’re the same. They turned over great and really smooth without the caliper on. I put the nut on and ran it down until just snug. Backed it out and then put on hand tight. That’s how my manual says to do it

    Really tight front brakes!

The brakes were OK before I did the bearings. There was a little bump/pulsing but very minor. The pistons on the calipers are very stiff

Have you ever had O’Reilly do your rotors? It’s $25 a rotor. That doesn’t seem too bad or is that expensive?

    Really tight front brakes!

I didn't replace the pads. Just the wheel bearings, races, and grease seal. I didn't have to push the caliper piston in to instal the pads. Should I have done this and will it change anything?

    Coil spring lift spacer questions

I decided to do a little experimenting tonight. I got the jack out and placed it under the front support. Then came the tape measure and I lifted it up 2 inches. Am I thinking right or will the coil spacers work differently? With 2 inches of lift there is no major (visible) alignment issue. I’m...

    Sbc 350 vacuum hose help

Original hydroboost brakes. No vacuum needed. I’ve never seen any traditional booster on a diesel either. Mines leaking a little and I should probably rebuild/replace it soon.

Thanks for the information! I need someone to sound like my dad with stuff like this. There’s so much information out there where some say it’s “the right way” and others will disagree. I’m on the fence now with so much input and opinions. Thanks again

    Coil spring lift spacer questions

Do it right? Like drop spindles from an obs? I was going to go that route but money is tight. I’ve seen a lot of nice 2wd lifted with coil spacers and thought that was a good option

    Sbc 350 vacuum hose help

Unfortunately I can’t help here. My cruise control doesn’t work so I just pulled all the lines going to it to clean things up a bit. I’m assuming your talking about the two lines your holding in your picture?
