    Truck stopped idling after fuel ran out.

    I have an edelbrock on my 84 that wouldn't idle either. Found out it was getting too much air. So screwed the air/fuel mixture screws on the front of the carb all the way in.     Carb Swap?

    I paid a little over 300 for a stage 2 quadrajet from national carburetors in Florida. Stage 2 is fir a motor with cam, intake and hedders. They tune it for you so it's ready to go right out the box. That guy will save you about 100 bucks to rebuild it. Score!

    Yup, I had an edelbrock carb that got pitched in the trash and a nice new quadrajet took its place. Couldn't be happier. And when I pulled the 305 and put in a 454 the quadrajet was put on it and it never missed a lick. Best carb for our trucks imo.

    Vacuum question 1986 K5 350

    The big brake booster hose should be connected to the big port on the bottom back of carburetor. The one to trans should be manifold vacuum port usually behind carburetor on manifold. The black ball is cruise control. Idk about the other Grey cannister.

    Love this led flashlight. Got a magnet and hook on it. Rechargeable too. Oh yeah I got it at Walmart.
