    Given the choice between rebuilding a Detroit or scrapping, I would scrap. Given what you found and your plans, it is about what you are willing to pay. Most Detroit off road equip has been changed over to juan deere, or perkins for a reason. Eric

    Have you looked into the temp sensor in the intake manifold? I went down a similar road before toasting the engine. If the truck runs, pull the temp sensor plug off and look for any change. The puter has a limp home mode when plug is removed. Hope this helps Eric

    I painted my m37 with 4 cases of rustoleum spruce green/ satin spray cans from lowes. She was on the military show circuit for a while and guys never stopped asking me what paint I used and what was the paint code? lol It really is all about the prep work. FYI the m37 was not a trailer queen...

    I just did my 87 r10. Lines take a hard down turn from cooler, jog to the left, and hard close to the bottom right side of 700r4 in clips on pan bolts. I have stock exaust as well. Where are they hitting the headers? Eric

    So I ran the square down to the UPS store yesterday to send a package. It is about 12 miles. New motor ran great, temps normal. Was inside prolly 15 minutes, came out turned key, no go. Motor labored to turn over like it was hot? Hood up not hot everything seemed normal. Sat in the truck...
