    Vacuum routing and PCV valve

Has the issue been solved yet? I get confused on the simplest of stuff. So am I reading that there is a port in the rear but plugged off with a bolt. Or is it like this with an allen head bolt blocking it off? If so all that would be needed is a 1/4-18 NPT with a 3/8 barbed end. IMO, it...

    Please forgive me...

It was said pro street would die years ago in many hot rod mags. Doing my part to keep it going. Only 3 in town but sadly they don’t come out to play except on special occasions.

Couldn’t order just 1 stud the other day so got a set and they showed up today. Got them pressed in. While the rotor was of I went ahead and packed the bearings. Brake pads were actually still good so will maybe do them this spring. The shock is pretty wore out tho so will probably do them will...

    Days of My Youth

She spent just as much time cleaning and working on the Chevelle as I did. Always liked cruising the drag...and still does. Not much in working on the truck tho. But something needed, no questions asked. Just order it. Her knee is coming along great. A week ago today and still in pain, but...

    Days of My Youth

That’s some sweet memories there. The old girl went through a lot to become what she is now. She still is. I can still see myself sitting on her bed and talking about the next purchase for the car. We met in August ‘74, so 46 yrs for us. Kinda like our old rides...it takes a lot of TLC and...

    Days of My Youth

A drink marker from Sonic that slid onto the straw Some clippings from the comic section of our local newspaper A piece of a gum wrapper chain that I had made. Did a bunch of chewing and picking the wrappers off the ground. Even my dad would bring some in as he chewed and found them...

    Days of My Youth

Since Tina’s down for a bit we were going thru some of our old stuff she’d stacked away. Think she kept every note and letter we had ever sent to each other. That old box stirred up many memories, some I’d forgotten about. Some…wish they weren’t re-remembered. It was amazing what she had kept...

They all broke loose about the same. Bet it was stretching coming off tho. Off and on many times and only losing 1 besides this one ain’t bad in 19 yrs I reckon.

What have you done to your square lately??

Physical therapist showed up for Tina’s first round so I thought I’d go put new brakes on the front. Got everything out that I’d need and started on the right side. Started loosening the lug nuts, removing 3 and leaving the other 2. Got her jacked up and jack stand in place. Removed another nut...

What should I include in my emergency tool set?

Vise grips for holding stuff together, a medium size crescent wrench, channel locks. Don't forget a light for that night time break down. Nothing cheaper than a free cheap light that can be held, hung or stuck and plenty bright But for the real emergencies that may develop, a roll of toilet paper.

What have you done to your square lately??

Knocking on wood, I haven’t had to do anything except turn the valve on for the water to flow thru the heat. Supposed to be 41 when I go to work in the morn.

My Rear End Build For My Low Buck Street/Race Truck

How many more runs can you get in before the track closes? And whatcha changing next? Since this on a budget it may take time, but now I’m curious how much you shave off the 60’ and what it took to do it. Nice run tho
