Nice score on the crew cab. 2wd?

    Thornbird or Super Swampers?

It's not Thornburg, it's Thornbird Most of the Interco tires are bias ply, this means short tread life (avg less than 20k even if well maintained) and the potential for flat spotting. All of the Interco tires are noisy, it's the nature of aggressive tread patterns with large voids. Tires...

Missing sway bar bolts. Anyone know what size they are?

The bottom of the "shackle" bolts to the u-bolt plate and the sway bar eye connects to the upper hole in the shackle. Lots of Youtube videos and pics on Google.

    305 to 454 swap

I have a huge 4 row radiator in my Blazer but it’s from a CUCV so parts places can’t look it up military trucks. I could tell you it’s the same as the same year civilian truck but thats as “vague” as my first post. Note: diesel radiators have different size hose necks that have to be dealt with...

    305 to 454 swap

I thought I did that except for specifying a year (‘81+ interchange).

    305 to 454 swap

Use a mid 80’s 1 ton truck with a 454 and HD cooling option as an application. With a bigger radiator you’ll also need the brackets and fan shroud. A 7 blade fan with a severe duty fan clutch is always a great upgrade.

    Bent fuel pump rod

That’s a big piece of steel to bend. I too question if the pump is correct. Also, any work done on the front of the motor? One of the bolt holes goes all the way to the push rod cavity, too long and it will lock the rod in place (which could result in a bent rod after turning the motor over).

    Front frame bracket

That’s a steering box brace, there’s not one on the passenger side.

How to fix my Front Axle not alligning

You need to be measuring from frame locators, not the body. Body mounts have a small amount of adjustability designed into them so it is possible for the cab (or bed, etc) to be off center, even slightly diagonal, on the frame. Find similar riveted brackets on each side of the frame and use...

    14bolt FF size vs 10bolt

Since there’s no inner u-bolt against the diff, the axle pictured is either a D60 or a Dodge D44 as both of these had studs or bolts on the inboard side of the passenger side leaf spring. GM version D44’s and 10 bolts both had 2 u-bolts in the above mentioned position. Edit: if it’s a Dodge...

What’s the best way to fix/clean up this wiring problem?

What are all the extra wires for? If those are all accessories (aka not bypassed factory circuits) then I’d add a secondary fuse/relay panel and pull the power for those accessories from there. Blue Sea Systems makes a wide range of well made products including fuse/relay panels. I’d get...

    4:10 gears for 86 k10

Gotcha. Personally, I'd go deep on the gears because parts are too expensive to wish you had done more when it's done. If you're not traveling, etc then no harm / no foul on deeper gears. Also, if you think even remotely think you would ever go to a bigger size tire then factor that into the...

    4:10 gears for 86 k10

@Rjckey do you have an overdrive transmission? If yes, I'd go with 4.56's (I used this combo in my old crew cab, it drove great). If you do not have overdrive, 4.10's are a little less than idea but not horrible and livable at highway speeds.

What lift do I have? How do I lift it more?

I doubt that would cover anything bigger than 35’s nowadays. It would cost me roughly $4k to replace my 40” Boggers now, I paid a little over half that 2.5 years ago. It’s crazy.

    You are correct.

Missing sway bar bolts. Anyone know what size they are?

No, on a 4wd the ends of the sway bar have eyelets for a large bolt that goes into the leaf spring u-bolt plates.

What lift do I have? How do I lift it more?

1/2 a day, maybe a little more. The real time is in the extra stuff like the steering shaft, fan shroud and/or rusty hardware.

    14bolt FF size vs 10bolt

No, the 8 lug caliper bracket is physically bigger.

What lift do I have? How do I lift it more?

Tall over 42’s would take 12” lift. 8” with 38’s or 39’s would work with trimming. Wheel width and offset can limit what fits, more width requires more room to turn. Body lifts; Not difficult to install - basically loosen all the body bolts on one side, lift the body, insert the pucks...

What lift do I have? How do I lift it more?

Let’s start over…. Budget? What tire size do you want? Are you willing to trim the wheel openings? Do you want it low on the tires or tall over the tires? You can add a body lift (spacers between the body and frame), they come in 1”, 2” or 3”. 3” used to be pretty common but most people frown...

    A weird minor problem....

There’s a rubber seal at the base of the pull ring handle, maybe it came loose and has moved down the tube? I’d pull the tube and check for something in it before you push it into the oil pan.

Can anyone tell me what this is??

    Aftermarket trailer brake controller.

What lift do I have? How do I lift it more?

Stock height measures 8.5" between the bottom of the frame and the top of the front axle tube, any difference is the amount of lift. As for more lift, on the front you'll have to replace the springs with some that have more arch. The rear can be lifted with higher arch springs or a shackle flip...

    14bolt FF size vs 10bolt
