    Seat options '90 Burb

I could be wrong but I don’t think any square body ever came from the factory with power seats.

Trying to remove plastic knob on side vent

Seems like there’s a clip at the far end on the vent flap. Be careful with it, I believe those are discontinued and good one are hard to find.

Spark plug gap closed fresh rebuild

A compression tester will screw into the spark plug holes. Removing all of the plugs will make it easy and faster to test. The actual compression reading will vary depending on the compression ratio from engine to engine based on the parts used, just look for the readings to all be very...

Spark plug gap closed fresh rebuild

Pulling the cover won’t show anything relevant to inside the cylinder. At this point, I think I’d install a new plug and roll the motor over a few times by hand to see what you feel and then check the plug.

Spark plug gap closed fresh rebuild

Note that it didn’t just close the gap, the porcelain is knocked off center.

The 80 dually would have a D70HD, I don’t know what the 05 would have but I do know they did not us the HD IF it had a D70. Need to figure out what axle is in the 05.

    tranny mount/crossmember- urgent help needed

If you not comfortable with the spacers on the crossmember don’t look at the steering box bolts. lol Also, keep in mind that when spacing the tcase down to improve the rear driveshaft angle, you are making the front driveshaft angle worse.

    tranny mount/crossmember- urgent help needed

The spacers are on both sides and all of the hardware is the same size. Be sure the replacement spacers go on top of the frame like the remaining ones are (or should be).

What new tools have you got lately?

I've been staring at those belt sander attachments on Amazon forever. Do you know what brand you have? Are replacement belts readily available? There are so many cheap versions I'm afraid of getting one that I can't get replacement belts for.

    Best 454 all around build

Your going to get all kinds of suggestions but here’s my .02 I’d keep the 4.10’s if you intend to ever tow with the 33’s - especially if you were to go to an overdrive trans. For a carb in a non hot rod street truck, I highly recommend a quadrajet. There’s no need for a Holley and a well...

    Car Hauler tips/tricks/ideas

@bluex be very careful strapping to anything above the axles, the suspension can still cycle as the trailer goes over bumps etc causing those straps to have slack and possibly come loose. The only way to successfully strap to anywhere above the suspension is to pull it down until it’s on the...

More gear for 35’s, I’d go with 4.10’s or 4.56’s.

Looking for a replacement frame/ chassis for my ‘86 K30

You'll get more traffic by posting this in the "Wanted" forum. You probably want to specify if that is a regular K30 pick up frame or a cab & chassis frame (if C&C, add the wheelbase).

No line pressure to rear disc conversion, no prop valve

I don’t know that the m/c is definitely the problem but calipers use more fluid to move than a wheel cylinder, a lot of people change the m/c during the conversion.

Replaced Radiator, but no heater hose hole!!

There’s more to it than rerouting the hoses. Since it’s obvious it’s not the right one the next question is if it’s the right size.
