    Tachometer replacement thoughts

Thanks for the picture. Both gauges are very visible and unobstructed where you have them. I haven't gotten around to putting my tach in yet, or testing it for that matter. I've been working on my Camaro in what little free time I've had over the last week.

    Brush Guard, watchu tink?

With that being said, I pretty much have to pick this one up for $50. How come your brush guard sticks out so far on either side of your fenders? Is that just how it fits, or is it an illusion from the camera angle? I do love the lights behind your brush guard. That would be my eventual...

    2009 Civic Coupe

That's some of the gnarliest **** I've read/heard in a coon's age. Glad you coughed up the trip. I've quit smoking several times, but never hacked up anything like that s**t. I believe you when you say that's your lung wound. Don't question EVERYTHING though. Just question LaFawnduh...

    2009 Civic Coupe

Eff LawFawnduh unless you really love her. But who could really love anyone named LaFawnduh other than Kip (and maybe you)... Scrap that b**ch unless you can bend her back into shape yourself like @Bextreme04 suggested. How bad is she bent?!?!?! A chain and a tree can work wonders on...

    Brush Guard, watchu tink?

Ture, can't beat the CUCV grill guard. They're just too cool. Unfortunately they can't be had for $50, at least not that I've seen. The new CUCV guard repops from hillbillywizard.com are $485. That's not in the budget for my low budget squares. I offered a guy $40 for one on Craigslist...

    Brush Guard, watchu tink?

Funny you should mention that. I already have two squares and I found another square on Marketplace today that looks like a good one to bring home, see picture below, but that'd be number three. I don't think that's in the cards right now (I do like my marriage, and I live in town with...

    Brush Guard, watchu tink?

Thanks for the input guys. I'm going to look at it tomorrow afternoon, and will probably snatch it up. Guy said he take $50 for it. The idea to cut the grate off is what makes me confident I'll be able to use it. I'm just not sold on the grate look, but I can think about it more when I get...

    Hey Y'all!

Cool Z! I like the black Pontiac wheels on there, especially with the gold metallic body color. You're going to fit in just fine here :boti:

    Hey Y'all!

You mean N90 wheels, brah? They are dope AF. My dad runs black ones on his 'maro. Straight Bit*hin'!

    Brush Guard, watchu tink?

Thanks for the picture. I think the grate is probably what makes it look dated IMO. I never thought about cutting that out... but it sure would change the appearance. I agree, it'd look a lot better without the grate. Maybe that's my answer!

oops ! Can you spot what’s wrong here?

Woof! I know these things are minor, but if a truck is over $20K I'd expect it to have ALL the little things correct.

oops ! Can you spot what’s wrong here?

The headlight bezels are in the correct position. The chrome trim outside the headlight bezels is switched left/right. The curved corner goes on the bottom and the sharp corned goes on the top. Lol. It's also missing a windshield mounted mirror, or maybe that's just out of frame.

    Brush Guard, watchu tink?

https://mankato.craigslist.org/pts/d/waseca-luverne-brush-guard-chevy-and-gmc/7508607023.html For sale about an hour and a half south of me. I do want a brush guard, and the price is nice, but I'm not sure about this style. My initial impression is that it looks kinda dated, and not in a good...

@donnieray, did this brush guard project ever go anywhere?

    Hey Y'all!

Welcome. And there are several other second gen Camaro owners hanging around here too (they're awesome cars). Post some pictures if you got 'em.

    Worst week so far!!

I've kinked the flexible line above the tank before, but as you mentioned, your issue was there before the work started. Maybe your flexible line has deteriorated inside if it's still original with the 35 year old tank? I've seen a flexible line fall apart in such a way that there was a flap...

Power brake filter? Can’t find one

Annually?!?! If that recommendation was easily found, no wonder you couldn't find any in stock. :rotflmao: Kind of like Valvoline trying to sell an air filter with every oil change.

    Tachometer replacement thoughts

Awesome PICTURES! Thank you! You've gone above and beyond my expectations, @SirRobyn0. I will have to go mock it up in my truck and give it some thought. Since I do not have any switches down low like you do (dump bed switches???) that's the other location I'm considering. I have an...

    Tachometer replacement thoughts

@SirRobyn0 thanks for the reply and the picture. The tach destined for my k20 is the same size, so it's good for reference. I've honestly never considered that location before. My only concern with that spot is riding three deep on the bench seat. It doesn't happen often, but maybe one or twice...

    Intake Manifold Cover?

That is an EGR block off plate. Your truck has had the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system removed. No big deal as long as it's sealed and not leaking. Sorry I don't have anything to add regarding the different temp sending units.

    Tachometer replacement thoughts

Rob, do you have a picture of your current tach on the dash? I'd like to see it. A friend gave me an aftermarket tach (cheap "Sun Pro" maybe?) that will eventually go in my K20. It's still sitting on my bench because I can't decide where to mount it. Personally, I've never been a fan of the...

    Custom Hood Ornaments

So I talked to the machinist at work today... He said he doesn't have a good way of milling a groove into the bottom of my eagle. He's afraid to break the wings and doesn't have much else to hold it by. I'm thinking my best approach may be a rough cut with a Dremel, and then hand file it to...

    Custom Hood Ornaments

Sweet! I've thought about buying one of those "rubber ducks" many times, but could never justify the hefty price tag. I've never seen a used one for sale so consider yourself lucky. Your magnet idea is brilliant! I understand not wanting to cut up your truck, as it looks to be in beautiful...
