    Any decent aftermarket 73-80 fenders?

I have a set of NOS fenders for my truck. I plan to do re-arcing of the wheel opening with the next phase of the truck. I would hate to carve up and section NOS fenders but would also hate to use Chinese garbage fenders for the job. Is there anything out there that actually fits and isn't...

    Rochester Quadrajet Woes

Yep, most folks think as long as a carbed car starts and runs its good enough. I've seen plenty of very high dollar cars that have brand new carbs that barely function.

    Rochester Quadrajet Woes

GM also spent hundreds of hours fine tuning them by application using tools that nearly no one else had access to at the time. And folks throw them away for a generic build holley or AFB and never even try to tune them. Its bananas.

Jet Performance Quadrajet JET Performance anyone gotz?

As a guy who has worked many q-jets, I would strongly suggest not buying one that hasn't been tailored to your engine.

    Rebuild th400 or 4l80e?

The vent on the trans is probably plugged. Some mud wasps likely filled it in. It's common for something that sits. Clear that, change the fluid and go live your best life.

84 k5 Stock fuel Guage stuck on 1/4 tank???

Good deal. My fuel guage is also a bit wonky, and I've checked everything but the guage. I hadn't realized until I read your fix that I never tried a different guage, but I've checked the wires 30x..

Actually you might check the engine/body ground as well.

Have you run a new ground to the tank/sender?

Check the ground on the gauge itself.

84 k5 Stock fuel Guage stuck on 1/4 tank???

Ground the sending unit wire itself.

84 k5 Stock fuel Guage stuck on 1/4 tank???

Does it peg to empty if you ground the sender wire? Thats more important than going to full unplugged..

Big block running hot. Can’t figure out the issue

Most of the holes in the head gasket are blocked or partially blocked to direct coolant flow. The holes in the block are there to remove sand from the casting process. Its normal to see a 1" hole in the block and head but only an 1/8" hole in the gasket.. just the rear most holes are wide open...

First real drive! Not tragic but not good. I think I need carb advice.

I think your vacuum leak is under the hood. Check all your hoses and spray some carb cleaner while it's running.

    Check out my rear end

Look at your driveline mounts for wear/play. These engines move all over the under load. Your chattering might be due to the springs in the carrier. There are three different rates available for those springs. Back in the day rebuilders typically put the strongest spring set in to maximize...

    Repeated stalling

Check the grounds at the t-stat housing and clean the throttle blades. Also clean the egr valve. It's probably stuck open some.
