Swapped in my 454, cost less than 3000, motor was 1500, So cheap, tows excellent. Shorty81 on the right track. I hate diesels, unless its in a John Deere. Yeah I regrettably own a 6.2, a pain in the A__.
Too bad your manifold won't bolt on a Holly 350, be perfect for that motor, and motor would be WAY more responsive. Did that to an ol' 235, made a good difference.
I read tech articles all the time, just read this an hour ago, seems plausible. Ty, post 18 is what I have done in the past. I have seen some heads cracked so bad, that revving the engine blew coolant a foot high out of the cap on the radiator...
Learning is important part of mechanician, Like these guys, this I have done. I thought it was fun. Now I can completely tear a truck or car down and put it back together, maybe a few times to get it right. Don't care what anybody thinks, I wanna learn.

K series trans has a "large hump," trans cab pan. K10 should have that. I've seen you post Jon, and you are no dummy, and have skills, seems that it would be easy.
