Most of these cars have hard lives. I have five 70-81 F’s and they all suffer from the usual dents on top of the fender to hood area and the roof as well. 87 y-pipe
I had to cut the exhaust on my 87 when installing the lift. The front shaft intersects directly with the crossover pipe. It's not terribly close to the crossmember where it would need removal in order to install the crossover though. HS- Strick

That looks like a great car to start out with. There are many clues that point to it being a '79 Z28 for certain. I love that deluxe interior in red along with the 5-spokes red as well. What have you done to your square lately??
Still working on the 78 K25. It’s a runner but the site will not upload a video unfortunately. We got a full exhaust ran from the headers back & we just finished the twin stick conversion on the NP205. Maybe we’ll have the front clip back on next week. -

87 V10 damaged transmission and transfer case
Something similar happened on my son's K10. His was ran without fluid & the case locked up, spitting out the rear shaft & breaking the rear housing of the trans & destroying the case. These are 3 different pulls on 3 different hitches. I'd much rather pull the 43' than the 34' in any situation still. The 43' rocks a bit but doesn't sway.- Strick

When you load the WD hitch you'll see the effect in the vehicle suspension. Works great for tall profile trailers as it puts more of the weight back on the trailer axles and helps reduce sway. The dual wheels goes without explanation.- Strick

Dually axle trailer without the profile of a camper travel trailer. I'm certain that's a tongue heavy trailer you have but the load is centered over the axles with twice the contact surface area. I'd drag that 70mph wherever.- Strick

Rides better with a load that's loaded or hauled right. Springs & truck do very good from the General. There's no way I'd attempt this with a pintle or 2-5/16 bumper.- Strick

1979 C10 46 Years Young - One Owner
Welcome from Central NC. I have dad's 79 C20 Crew that he bought new. It has logged (no pun intended) 400K plus miles going to numerous logging sites in central & eastern NC. Dad ordered it with a 350 & SM465 with 3.73 out back. He swore he'd get twice the mileage of a 454 automatic truck...- Strick

I would look somewhere besides the fuse gang for your issue. If you have intermittent starting issues I'd address the ignition starter switch (column mounted) first.
