74 Adjusting tailgate latches
The tailgate will not close unless I pull the handle while slamming. I went to figure out how to adjust this and I don't see any way to do that. I could add some shims near the rubber grommet possibly. Does anyone know how these are adjusted?- Chris64

Tripod mirrors on lowered trucks?

'77 Vandura radio not working
This sounds backwards to me. Yellow to the battery and red to the key (accessory). Old Pioneers had weird colors IIRC there was an orange (which is normally used for illumination) that was the constant. After watching this: I feel inspired to try and repair the foam I have. Everything that was covered and protected feels fresh, just the areas exposed to sunlight are flaky and brittle. I like the idea of stock foam and saving $300 and two weeks for delivery. Time to shop for some foam scraps... -

Found the problem. The spring meant to return the main latch was broken. It's all riveted together. I could probably drill it out and machine some replacement parts but locating that spring by itself sounds like a pain when the whole mechanism can be acquired for $65. Hopefully it's comparable... -

Great tips. I've been taking a wire wheel to it and getting down to shiny metal. For now I'm coating it with some rust block primer but I'll be going back to these areas when it's time to paint. The hood latch location is as you said. My fear is so far it's only ever gone down to the safety... -

I finally got my hands on a squarebody!
Hello All! I've always loved the Squarebody and on Saturday took delivery of a semi-running k20. It's a 1974 which is perfect for me being in CA (No smog!). Sadly it spent a little time on the beach in Mexico and it has a few rust spots but not terrible. Floors are solid and bed has no holes...- Chris64
