    Here's a couple of pictures of those wheel tubs, think it was semi gloss, not flat. Still have held up way, way better than it has any right to. Dirty obviously, but that's because I never really wash the truck.

    With a rectifier setup to convert to DC, yes. Which if you look online there’s plenty of people who have done so to the vulnerable AC 225 tombstone. Then you can run scratch start tig and also regular 7018 instead of 7018ac.

    I do not believe there was any kind of plug. I've never seen one, I looked through some sub 1,000 mile trucks that have sold in the last few years at auctions and none of them have any kind of plug. Maybe @Keith Seymore can weigh in on this.

    Right on! Nice work on the mounting tabs. A piece of inner tube might work as a dust seal, cheap and easy to get ahold of.
