65 c30 - Dually Tension/Retaining Ring Questions
The squares I've had/worked on an my 99 dually all used the ring and conical nuts for steel wheels. Aluminum wheels (like alcoas) usually get the lugs with the integrated washer.- bluex

NV3500 swap
There are 2 differences between a full size an a s10 nv3500. The S10 has a closer ratio gear set, and it uses a 700r4 output shaft size. Everything else is the same. Now like I mentioned in 98 or 99 the shifter did move back on the trans but I believe it did that on all models not just the s10...- bluex

Rear Shock Extenders
It rides bad because it's on the bump stop already. Use extenders, kyb 344072 for the rear. Remove the factory bumpstop and it's bracket an replace with a low profile urethane one. Best not to try an reuse an R12 condenser with 134. You need a parallel flow for it to cool at its best. Are you trying to use the stock 87 compressor or the LS one? Hydro Clutch Pedal Assembly...from an S10?
I linked my writeup above in post #9. It was 2wd but the pedal and hydraulic dont care about that. Yes if your keep a mech speedometer I would reroute the cable an drill another hole for it. The way I did it the hydraulic master really won't work as well anywhere else.- bluex

I would put them under the truck personally, that way if there's a complaint, they aren't immediately visible. They also work better on a ball valve (again because of better flow) than a solenoid but that makes it all harder to hide. I want a set for my dually since I'm adding on board air for...- bluex

It's not so much the pressure as it is the flow. If the railroad ran it on 1/2" line an you go to 3/8" it won't be as loud. Tank size will dictate how long you can run it. 20 sec with 1/2" line might turn into 45 with 3/8" an so on.- bluex

I am too an thats why I kept an eye out until I found a set for mine. Im always telling the kids to stay away from them lol. Depending on how this guy does stretching these, I might take him my spare set to repair what damage they do have so they are 100% ready if needed. -

DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE CLOWNS!!!!! We tried them for wider fenders for that red dually to fit the semi wheels. Waited 6 weeks for them. Mocked them up an because of how badly they are bowed in, they were maybe 5/8" wider. Spent a month calling an they won't return phone calls/texts/emails... -

Mike is on my list of people to offer this too as well. I'm still not sure if it'll be worth the hassle though. I got a spare set of fenders for mine a few weeks ago. I was able to pull them myself an I got all the hardware too. So I have a full hardware set, even though they need cleaning up... -

LMC should be a last resort or only used for they items only they have. You can find the same thing, probably better quality an definately cheaper elsewhere. Rock auto is fine for normal replacement parts at a good price.- bluex

What have you done to your square lately??
I just had to redo the entire cooling system on my daily buick because of that crap. Probably going to flush it a couple more times still. Half the radiator was clogged with that dexcool mud looking junk. Thankfully the engine side seems to be ok an just muddy looking water flushed out of it. -

Ya I saw those an thought about asking them too. The one on the right is from 88-98 trucks use a M8x1.25 thread. Worst case an M8 one could work for both generations I think. -

One side is 5/16-18, the other is thread cutting into the fiberglass of the fender. OL is about 2" Rivnuts would bust the fiberglass when you try to set/crimp them. The holes into the fender are blind. I guess you could epoxy a rivnut in but then you would have a tough time installing them... -
Thinkin about my Jetta
We have a 13 TDI jetta, it's been an OK car. Everytime something breaks on it it's down 2 weeks an minimum $600. 3 weeks after I bought it the dpf clogged an VW did $5800 worth of warranty work to it. They had it for a month. Thankfully it was still covered under the extended emissions...- bluex
