I’ll add I’ve had 3 10 speed vehicles now. 2 Chevys 1 ford, 1 was the Dmax. The first one was a first year 2019 Chevy. I put about 80k miles on it trouble free and that truck passed on to a co worker is around 150k. No trans issues. Occasional towing. GM and Ford half tons use the same 10...- Grit dog

Carb replacement recommendation?
Wish we were closer in could trade you up to a new 350 with electric choke that is a much more causal driving engine. Think she makes about 179 hp. Because I’m about 1 hp loss from sea level due to altitude, lol! Sorry don’t have any carb advice.- Grit dog

Separate whether you have an excessive current draw or lack of charging current. You haven’t provided enough info to discern that from here. First just check charging voltage at the battery. Whatever the battery is at rest 12.xx or whatever even if it’s a bit discharged. Then voltage at idle...- Grit dog

Agree, it’s kind of a connundrum. I’ve necked down a shop vac to a small hose before. You could fish around with that after drilling. If you have to drill and tap. OP stock K10 springs are 2 leaf and flat if they’re new and a slight frown when they lose a little spring rate over the years. More than 2 front leafs and a smile = lift springs. I cannot answer the length question. But you may want to reconsider poly bushings. First, a new set of rubber bushings will last a LONG time and will not squeak and are a bit more compliant. I think it’s more luck of the draw than anything with vehicle licensing facilities. The 3rd party place nearest to me is very good. As is the Issaquah one. Some are facilitated by the county. It’s 30 years in WA. And it’s a permanent plate. $100 + some added fees. There’s no mileage limit. There’s a small list of what it can and can’t be used for “technically”. But one of the uses is “special excursions”. So every trip is a special excursion. lol I don’t see many/any on the highway...- Grit dog
