    Rough country lift

Unfortunately, no. There's no shock technology out there that can lessen the spring rate.

    AC Questions

Airflow out the heater vent only is normally a lack of vacuum. If you don't hear hissing (while running) from the hvac controller, first thing to check is always the vacuum supply line coming off of the intake manifold and the vacuum reservoir under the hood.

Differential swap / bought it, work and install now

Yes, 3.73 and 4:10 seem to be the most common by far. Iirc, '83/'84 is the year split between parking brake cable setups. You missed it by just one year, lol.

Here's what Wikipedia has to say: I might have to go look at that axle and see if it's a 60. I think it would be cool to stick it under my stepside C10, to replace the 2.56 geared 10 bolt.

Oh, along with the louvered core, they are directional in their installation. If you install them backwards, the exhaust will be louder from what I remember.

Interesting cutaway. The core is perforated. Every cheap and generic "cherry bomb" I've ever used was a louvered core. I imagine that I wouldn't like that perforated core because it may kind of have the ho-hum Magnaflow sound that I don't care for. The actual "Cherry Bomb" brand had a big...

A few years ago, I bought some generic red glass packs for my station wagon. I think I got them from Summit maybe. Other than being a larger size pipe, they sound just like the generic red painted glass packs that I got from the local farm store in '98 and put on my Impala.

    Good rear gears

No, but they both can have heat, defog, AC, stereo, bucket seats, power windows, cruise control, do 100+ mph, have weatherstripping, turn signals and electric start. I don't think the model T has much, if any of that, lol. Just an engine, a seat and wheels. A Conestoga wagon just had a seat and...

Do you think that illustration of the Salisbury axle is accurate? Looks like it has 9 cover bolts. The Dana axle has 10, like what appears to be in the blurry photo in the ad. Also, I did not know the 396 was available in those trucks. Cool!

    Good rear gears

Something I'd like to point out here, there is a much bigger difference in comfort and capability between a model T and a 50 year newer truck than there is compared to a squarebody and a new truck.

    Good rear gears

I forgot to mention in my earlier post, that comfortable cruising at 70-80 mph in my Suburban got 12-13 mpg in the warm weather. That's not far off from a modern 3/4 ton truck. What was the engine rpm? Don't know, didn't have a tach. What did it sound like? Nothing really, it had the original...

Twitchy steering with a big travel trailer (rear sway bar help?)

I 100% agree about the towing aids. That stuff is useful on lighter vehicles or vehicles that are way under-sprung for towing. Like modern, cushy riding F150s and Escalades where a 5k trailer will put the thing on it's bump stops. Or old station wagons pulling canned ham.

It does look to to be a 464. Iirc, most of the medium duty trucks with a 465 used a larger input shaft and needs a matching clutch disc.

Buying an np205, is this an np205?

Also, that specific one with a rear slip yoke and being an non-syncro type was used in '80-'84, regular cab trucks (single piece rear drive shaft) and with manual locking hubs.

Buying an np205, is this an np205?

Yes, that's a 205. It has the "figure 8" style mounting pattern and has a 10 spline input.

    Leaf Spring Torque

I believe that it is best to replace u-bolts simply because of the stresses they can see upon removal if they have been installed for a while. They tend to be long and there is room for twist if the nuts don't want to come off. It can also build up a lot of heat from removing seized nuts. I...

The performer manifolds are designed for use with a spread bore or a square bore carb. When using a square bore carb, there's a flat plate that should be used to ensure a good seal.
