Has anyone bought the LMC dash?

I bought one a while back- It does have metal. It is just okay- maybe... It is too tight around the instrument panel. I eventually got mine to fit decently after a lot of work. Trimming edges and such. I don't think I would go that route again, but I haven't really seen anything better.

    85 K10 4wd relay

@nvrenuf possibly but it is right there with the 4 wd indicator light indicator and transfer case. I believe the relay opens/close based on the indicator light being illuminated. Putting the transfer case into 4 wheel drive provides grounds to the indicator light (thus illuminating it) and to...

    85 K10 4wd relay

Just an update on what I've found so far. It is in the wiring diagrams for 84 and 86 (later pages in a square), just missing out of the 85. K10 trucks with auto MD8 & EGR bleed. I still can't locate the relay in my truck. I can only assume a PO removed it sometime in the past. If anyone...

    85 K10 4wd relay

Well. I'm not the only one. Here is a guy trying to figure it out 20 years ago. Drew about the same conclusions I did. but no real answer. https://ck5.com/forums/threads/4wd-relay-affect-tcc-lockup.61733/

    85 K10 4wd relay

It looks like in mainly deal with the TCC for the 700r4. it looks like you need the relay to get current coming from the low vac switch to the A post of the transmission for the temp 4-3 shift. My 4wd indicator light works- but it really never runs through the relay.

    85 K10 4wd relay

Not sure- One I found triying to figure out what the hanging connector was. Mine is an 85- The wires are running just like the diagram. I traced them out and that's exactly what mine does-(second green wire splits off father down the line- not at the connector as shown in diagram) I just...

    85 K10 4wd relay

I have the wiring diagrams for c10 but they do not have this portion. Can any one tell me where the 4wd relay is. I found the connector hanging by my brake pedal and can't seem to find the relay it plugs into. See image. Thanks

    700r4 code

A little late, but maybe it will help someone in the future. CH is model number/application. Staring 1986 they added an extra digit "M" for 700r4 and later on "D" 4L60E ATSG THM 700-R4 "UPDATE HANDBOOK" Gives information about model/application and internal wiring starting around page 99...

    700R4 Information Thread

When it comes to TCC I get confused because there is roughly 23 internal wiring types. The 4 prong connector- you could have anywhere from one to four wires. Some use ECM, ground, etc. Do you deal with the internal wiring when you rebuild a transmission? I included images to help explain...

    700R4 Information Thread

Making sure I'm not overlooking something obvious- My TCC brake switch is starting to fail. Currently it is hooked to the cruise control vacuum brake switch. (I don't have cruise control anymore) I know the circuit must be opened when brake is pressed (opposite of brake lights). Wouldn't a 4...

    Fuel gauge reading past full

I'm going to have to let someone who knows more about the dual tanks jump in. Like I stated earlier I'm not real familiar with the selector valve. Did you ever try grounding the sender/gauge wire to see if it moves slowly to E. ? -I would do both tanks. If it doesn't then you know its not...

    Fuel gauge reading past full

Some questions that will help diagnose it.. Was it running and was the fuel gauge working before you changed tanks and sending units? Did you replace any hoses or lines when you replaced the tanks. Explain what you mean pull lines off pump. I'm assuming your fuel pump is mechanical. I'm...

    Fuel gauge reading past full

Someone correct me if I'm wrong. In a dual tank setup the sender wire runs through the selector valve. Just something else to be aware of once you start troubleshooting where something could be wrong.

1975 fuel gauge reading 3 oclock position

wiring for 75' https://www.gmsquarebody.com/threads/1973-1991-wiring-manuals.14498/ edited post- misread and wasn't pertinent. Hopefully the link will help.

1975 fuel gauge reading 3 oclock position

Usually if the gauge moves past three the gauge is getting current but not getting resistance info from the sender. First thing I would do is make sure the sender was grounded well. Not sure about 75- It might be grounded by the fuel tank being grounded so check the fuel tanks are grounded well...

    How does horn get activated?

If I understand your question- A convexed piece of metal. (contacts the plunger piece to ground it.-) Goldie Driver's post #7 shows it. Watch the videos I posted #11 they explain it. The second video is short and should answer your question.
