    That's how you end up with broken tie bolts & wrung-off perches & all those lovely things: incorrect/insufficient torque on your u-bolts.

    6" & 37's looks pretty dang good but 8" would make 37's look too small. I'm running 36's w/6" & they look a bit small IMO so I will be swapping into 38's or 37's pretty soon. Just a tidbit: there are TONS of lifted trucks with various lift/tire combinations to see if you browse around.

    You need to visit your local spring shop to do that the cheapest. Well.... usually. A good spring shop can re-arch &/or add a leaf or two.     I've done this but used b52's from diy4x, made longer shackles & custom stacked my springs out of a couple of sets. Got 6" out of it with springs only. I've heard of moving the front spring hangers but don't advise it since they're flimsy without the additional support of the body mount bracket...

    Here's a couple of mine. No lift kit here. All custom & self-tuned. Still just a little more tweaking due but ended up with 6.5"-7" overall suspension lift. I REALLY feel the need for 38" or so tires too. I think That the h1 36's are a little small & my GC is suffering on my diffs. Might shave...
