    Frame Weight?

Mine has nothing but fuel and brake lines and it is pretty heavy. Two people can move it but not easily, defiantly not picking it up. I'd say it takes four maybe three big guys to pick one up completely and move it. Posted from my HTC one

    Axle + shackle flip

I have the three hole perches on my axle (there when I got it) but that gives me the same problem the zero rates do. I have to buy top plates and the axle is off on the spring, I'd like to. Avoid that if possible. I can move the rear hanger but it's a short bed with a 92 (yes 92) blazer tank so...

    Axle + shackle flip

Ok guys I have searched my head off with this dilemma. Please forgive me if this has been anwered, I'm just not able to find it. I'm looking to do the shackle flip, thats no problem. The thing is the way it shoves the axle forward. I don't mind changing the rear hanger location, as it will...

    Bvllsh!t on craigslist.

My dad had a dodge dually with a Cummins in it a few years back and you could rev up the engine and watch the cab roll to the side form all the torque, so these weak frames on our tucks surely couldn't handle it. I'd be willing to bet the frame is bent. Posted from my HTC one

    Motor mounts help!

Check to make sure the mounts aren't upside-down. I can't really explain how they would be without pictures and I'm in class right now. But the higher tab on the mount needs to be at the bottom. ( if that makes sense) Posted from my phone in my lap during class

    Front End Common Replacement Parts

While it's that torn apart I would pull the carrier and pinion and check all of those bearings and races for cracks or uneven wear. But then again you can go ahead and get all new ones that way you know there good. Posted from my phone in my lap during class

    86 k10 with a 94 k2500 for parts

I could be interested in the tbi harness if its a 5.7 and 4l80e. That's of course if you would be willing to sell it and the shipping wouldn't be an arm and leg. Posted from my phone in my lap during class

    Tbi conversion questions

I have done some research and have come to the conclusion that gm did in fact use a 5.7 tbi and 4l80e pair. (Not in these trucks) so I know I'll need to look for 3/4 and 1 ton Gmt 400s earlier than 96? Did gm ever use anything other than 80e transmissions in them? How hard is it to remove just...

Do I pull engine or tranny?

    crossover steering question

Yes will have to put some sort of arm on the passenger side, now if you can move the arm from the driver's side idk because I'm not that experienced with 60s but if not will need an arm from somwere to attach your dragling to. Sent from my HTC6500LVW using Tapatalk

    crossover steering question

I think what he's referring to is would he have to order a high steer arm for his passenger side knuckle for his draglink to connect to. If so then I'm not entirely sure because it depends on what Ford Dana 60 your using ball joint or king pin. Are you ordering a kit or adapting the Ford...

    Tbi conversion questions

Did a little more reaserch. And just wow I'm in way over my head on this, I'm so confused. If I were to get the harness and ecm out of a tbi 4l80e truck couldn't I just plug it into an existing tbi harness in my truck and plug in a transmission harness and install the transmission. Or is it...

    Tbi conversion questions

It's not something I'm planning on doing right now I just wanted to see if it was possible so I can keep my eyes peeled for one so I can snag the harness especially if it's cheap

Sounds tough to find. I wish I had a list of what came with this setup. I wonder if I should ask Retro?

    Tbi conversion questions

Seems easy enough. I thought of something else today, did gm ever put a 4l80e behind a tbi engine. If they did I'm pretty sure it was in the Gmt400 era right? So if this is possible couldn't I steal an ecm and 4l80e from one of these trucks and run the 80e and my 5.7 with a Gmt400 ecm with my...

    K10 6 lug to K20 8 lug???

The only reason the backing plate is different because the rotor is bigger in diameter.

    K10 6 lug to K20 8 lug???

You are very close. Knuckle, spindle, bearings, and calipers are all the same. So all you would need is backing plate, rotor, and hub are all the same. You should also be able to use the same locking hubs you have unless your transfering from internale lockout s to external lockouts and vise versa.

    Tbi conversion questions

Yes I do have the complete engine . I pulled it myself. So if I remove the 87 harness of that truck I will have to unplug stuff from the connector behind the fuse box? When I remove the harness will It take anything essential for his truck to run a carburayed motor. I would prefer to stay away...

    Tbi conversion questions

Some of these questions may have been answered but I can't find them anywhere , I've been searching online for 2 or 3 days. Let me start of with saying that I have an 84 single cab 4x4 Silverado, so it has all the bells and whistles. I'm looking to install a stock oem 87 tbi harness, now I k or...
