Sounds like when the 60 was robbed from the front, so was the Detroit locked 14 bolt. Which could cause different gear ratios. Swap the rear from the doner tuck too and you'll be good to go.

The bumper looks great. Do you have the tow points that go to it? I'm also looking for a set of Chevy Dana 60 outers including the stub shaft, if your willing to part out a Dana 60.

I am interested in the bumper I was just going to buy both and take off the brush guard because most sellers wont separate, if the brush guard is in as good of shape as marks86 says its in ill most likely be getting it if we can get shipping worked out. just have to wait and see what it looks like.

    Dual front stabalizers

Today most use it to look cool, they do help off road though. Now I'm not sure but I think many different companies make them.

The 14 FF Detroit locker uses an open carrier, so the locker goes in a stock open carrier. That's one of the luxuries of the 14 bolt. You can swap the Detroit from a 4.11 and down carrier to a 4.56 and up carrier with no problem.

    ford /chevy dana 44 ???

Absolutely, however it's just like the Dana 60s from what I've read. You have to do knuckles, spindles, hubs, and stub shafts. I've contemplated doing this my self to help sell the coil spring Ford Dana 44 I have but I don't want to spend any money on the axle.

How to Tell which Axles I have?

My vote is a sf 14 bolt or it's a Spicer axle. Definitely intrigued.

Unfortunately no. The carriers don't interchange between ratios. There is the 4.11 and down and the 4.56 and up. But if you have the whole 4.11 axle, you can just put that whole carrier in. If your worried about losing the Detroit don't sweat it they swap into an open carrier unlike others that...

The patches are the same, they are just wider on the one tons. If you have access to a welder its fairly easy to move them, if not I'm not sure but I don't see why a shop wouldn't move/weld them back on for you. There is also the option of putting the 4.11 guts in your existing housing, which...

replacing 12 bolt 4 series carrier with 3 series

Depending on what your using the truck for the gov lock could be good or bad. The reason why people don't like the g80 is because they are prone to break when heavy in the throttle off road. The g80 is an open diff until it senses one tire going faster than the other it grabs both axles at...

If you want to, you can post pictures of the numbers on the ring gear and I can help you figure out how to find out the ratio without all that counting and possibly miss counting

4.09 doesn't sound right. What you have is 4.10 if your calculation is correct. Now here is another suggestion is to regear the 14 bolt to match the front, which would be a lot easier to do yourself than the front plus to find a used set of gears and carrier is a lot easier. Either way I may...

1lows lil bro bought his own truck

It looks like a sad attempt at a welded diff. The picture isn't that great, but it looks like the just welded between two teeth on the spider gears which doesn't seem like good sence or it would hold very long.

    post your worst stuck pics

Definitely, this thread needs to be way bigger. I'll contribute, these aren't stuck pics but it's my dad old single cab swb Gmt400 he had for a while with 6in lift and a 3in body lift on 40 hawgs.

4.11 and down. Then 4.56 up. Or you can get a thick cut gear which is a 4.56 up gear made for the 4.11 down carrier.
