    It is 2wd, I had never seen one without the removable hump (unless that was the top loader only deal) I'm looking at an '86 3/4 ton cab at our local Pull-a-part to use instead, plus it was a 6.2 as well.     Ok haven't touched mine in a couple of weeks, but here is a twist I wasn't expecting. The old cab on the truck has the large hump, and it isn't removable. It has the indention for the granny gear 4 speed so I'm now trying to figure out what I need to do to rePlace the cab now.

    Well, I can tell you that is the original transmission that came in the truck. My in-laws bought the truck off the lot with 15 miles on it in late '84.

    I'm pretty sure it's cast, the bell housing is definately aluminum as it is shiny compared to the tranny. I should have them this afternoon

    Interesting, looks like the MY6 is the aluminum case and the MM7 is cast iron, which mine is probably because it's behind the diesel. I have just a shade over 200k on it and still shifts good.

    Just looked and it is a 3.08 with the G80 option. The code I have on my tranny is MM7

    It's possible that it's a 3.08 I would have to check the RPO codes to see what it lists, I do know it has the G60 limited slip code but it's been a while since I really looked at the codes.
