    np203 shifter

Mine is really stiff, no nice "clicks" when you move the lever. It's more of a shove it as hard as you can and end up overshooting the position you want by 2 or 3 positions. How hard was it to take it apart and put back together? I might try my luck. I got a used 203 case and it came with...

    np203 shifter

Does anyone know if there is a replacement shifter or a rebuild kit available for the stock NP203 shifter? Offroad design is "temporarily" out of stock for their twin stick kit, and from what I'm reading on various forums and groups, they have been for years now. Not looking like they're going...

    OEM grille material

Huh, well I'll be damned. I figured every truck in the '70s had all metal grilles. Good to know.

    OEM grille material

Anybody know what the factory original grille and headlight trim was made out of on these trucks? 1977 specifically. Best I can tell is it was plastic, but that seems highly unlikely? The headlight trim I have now is metal, but the grille is a plastic "billet" unit.

    USA made sliding window assembly?

Yeah, that's what I want. The tint is part of the glass, not a film. I got new US made door and vent glass coming that also incorporates the tint into the glass itself. Keeps the dog's toenails from shredding the film haha.

    USA made sliding window assembly?

Well, good thing my dad is a pack rat haha... he actually saved the packing slip from the box my Dodge slider came in. It's made by C.R. Laurence. I just checked, and they make one for these trucks too. Did some research, and all their products are made in Vernon, California...

    USA made sliding window assembly?

Yeah, the aftermarket ones all use the 1 piece window gasket and are universal from '73-87/91. I'm not against an aftermarket slider, I just want an American made one. I wish I could remember what brand the one is I have in the Dodge. It said made in USA on the box. It's a great unit, nice...

    USA made sliding window assembly?

The tricky part will be finding one for an '84-87 truck. I have a feeling that the window frame is probably different since all the seals are only for those year trucks. Most of the listings I've seen just say it's out of a squarebody, or fits '73-87. Most folks don't know the multitude of...

    USA made sliding window assembly?

That's for '84-91. https://www.prp.com/product/detail/353757?paginationCount=100&sort=u.ShortDesc I don't know if a window from one of those years will fit my '77. Anyone know? The newer trucks had numerous changes. If that year range slider will fit, I'll look for one on ebay.

    USA made sliding window assembly?

Don't see one on their website, both seals say not for original sliders. I think the windows changed in '81. Not sure if a '81-87 slider would fit my cab or not. But all the seals I've seen for a factory slider are for '81+

    USA made sliding window assembly?

Anybody know if there are any small businesses or other companies selling an American made sliding rear window assembly? There's gotta be someone out there, as popular as these trucks are. Not gonna put any of that ***** crap on my truck lol. LMC is not made in USA, already tried there. I'd...

How to tell if my NP203 has been converted to part time?

I don't see any threaded holes. Is the area in the red box where you're talking about?

What is the torque rod, and where should it be?

How to tell if my NP203 has been converted to part time?

Here's some better pix of the front and closeups of the side right where the driveshaft comes out the front of the case. Yeah, I know the tire is low in that pic. I took it when I was looking at the truck before I bought it. I pumped it up before I drove it home. Not sure what's going on...

How to tell if my NP203 has been converted to part time?

I don't see a CV, looks like a normal driveshaft with a u joint. Here's what it looks like.

How to tell if my NP203 has been converted to part time?

Well, I found a stock 203 case not too far away for $100. Figure my best bet is to just get the stock one and have it rebuilt so I know it will operate as it should and sell this problem to somebody more willing to deal with modified stuff. Is the 1977 K10/K15 NP203 the 2 or 2.5" chain? I...

How to tell if my NP203 has been converted to part time?

It's got superwinch hubs on it. I guess it's been converted since it moves in high with the hubs unlocked. Something is broken though, because I have no front axle drive in either lock position or low. Hopefully the shop can fix it. I just wanted to know if it had been monkeyed with before I...

How to tell if my NP203 has been converted to part time?

Got a '77 K15. It's got the NP203, at least it should. I've got the low lock, low, neutral, high, and high lock on the shifter, but the truck has locking hubs. I've been driving the truck in high with the hubs unlocked, is that a good indicator that it's been converted? I have the truck up...

    Steering column

Question about the steering columns in these trucks. I've got a '77 GMC K15 4x4, and am looking to get a Flaming River steering column, or possibly Ididit. Flaming River offers 2 different ones, one doesn't give any specs and the other says it's for a 1" 48 spline output shaft. Ididit only...

    1978-80 dash trim on a 1977 dash?

Hopefully it will. If not, I'm just going to take the dash and my Grant steering wheel to a local cabinet shop and have them make me a custom solid wood trim piece to match the wheel. Truck has a really nice dash in it, I'm just going to dye it to match the other USA1 panels I'm getting... but...

    1978-80 dash trim on a 1977 dash?

Found this one that says it fits '73-80, so I guess I'll give it a try. Made in the USA to boot, so in my opinion, well worth the double price of the ching chong ones lol. https://www.cheyennepickup.com/collections/dash-plates/products/73-80-dash-plates I can get it with woodgrain and chrome...

    1978-80 dash trim on a 1977 dash?

Never even though to check there, dunno how I forgot about them! They have the walnut moulding, and it says it fits 78-80, so I may be out of luck. It looks like the actual metal structure behind the dash pad and frame was the same from '75-80, so I may just get a new dash pad/frame for a '78...

    1978-80 dash trim on a 1977 dash?

I'm re-doing my interior with stuff from USA1, and they don't have dash moulding (the piece that goes over the glove box from vent to vent on the passenger side) for the 1977 trucks. Anyone know if the '78-80 moulding would fit my '77 dash, or should I just buy a '78-80 dash from them? I'd...

    Wiper differences

Anyone know what the difference is between the '73-77 and 78-87 wiper systems? I got a painless harness for my truck, and it shows them as being different. It comes pre-wired for the '78+, but provides instructions to add different connectors for the older trucks. Would it be advisable to put...
