K30 crew cab headers???
I have an 1985 cab and frame with a 1973 454BB but I went with Summit Racing brand headers part# SUM-G9011. I did have to put a dent in the passenger side hedder so the front drive shaft would clear.- Bronze Knight

RETRO-Mod: Jeep intermediate steering shaft
Got the bottom bolt in today, picked up a normal grade 8 M10x1.5x30 flange head bolt form the hardware store see pictures attached. Haven’t taken it for a drive yet but I can say I like not having to modify the shaft at all to get it in there and the dampener is the same style as the original...- Bronze Knight

Per the other thread by dd1990, I got Dorman part # 425-177 for $130 off Amazon. I pulled out the Jeep shaft and put the C3500 shaft in. It's a perfect fit. WTB Big Block AC brackets for A6 compressor.
Never mind I got them off of Craigslist. Was $125 shipped. No did not have all the bolts but i dug around my box of bolts and got it mocked up. As I expected the rear lower bracket does not fit with the heddders on and the heads themselves are missing a boss (the rear most one above cylinder 3)...- Bronze Knight

Well, I made a minor change but it seems to have fixed the issue. The valve covers I got have a 1-inch hole for a PCV vent. It would seem that 1'' filters are a bit less common, now you can get them on Amazon but I didn't do that. I went down to the auto parts store and got a 3/4'' filter...- Bronze Knight

OK so I did the test again and I may have had the distributor clocked wrong yesterday. I also figured out a better setup for air fittings using the adaptor off the compression tester, a union, an air fitting, and hose clamps. Yep, that's what I did. The roter cap was pointing at the vacuum advance which is where #3 is at I rigged up an air hose with some rubber line and the blow gun on the air compressor with some hose clamps and after I got it jammed into the spark plug just right I was getting air out the carb...- Bronze Knight

Burning hei coils
Isn't there a thing where if the Tach signal wire gets grounded it'll burn the coil out? May be worth checking the whole run of the Tach signal wire, or at least both ends.- Bronze Knight

I was joking about the cork gasket guys lol. I have a one-piece oil pan gasket on there now. However, I have another one coming because the RTV is in the gasket now and even if I dig it all out I'm not willing to do this AGAIN so I'll use a fresh gasket.
