    Power Windows Troubleshooting Info

I have seen the schematics but the wires aren't labeled well enough for me i guess, EDIT: used a computer this time, can actually trace the wires.....so I'm good now. Pink is main power, black is ground i assume? Mine quit working and i am assuming it is the pink wire inside the door boot...

Who makes a good Oil sending unit?

i can check it. and I think the guage is supposed to have some resistance from one terminal to the other? I just hate pulling the cluster out.

Who makes a good Oil sending unit?

there is something funky going on for sure. not sure if the gauge is to blame at this point, or just multiple bad sendors. it will work, then after a while only indicated 10-20 psi. maybe the next time you start it up it will indicate 60+ as it should with cold oil and cold temps, or 10psi. who...

Who makes a good Oil sending unit?

there should be voltage at the line though right? i mean it is the ground side, but voltage still is flowing from positive to negative. Should it be the full 12v or even up to the 14.8 my alt is outputting? i wish i had another gauge, but i think my 60psi gauge got tossed out accidentally :(

Who makes a good Oil sending unit?

Both shorted out unit measure 1.8 ohms steady. My new one bounces between all kinds of random numbers and open. Im questioning this though. No pressure should just 0 all the time and not bounce around i would think. EDIT: new one also reads a steady number (must of had bad connection when...

Who makes a good Oil sending unit?

not pegged at zero when i tested it today, but it was stuck at about 18psi. tested the Ohms and it was a steady 22.5. rev'd the engine to about 3000 and it climbed to 25.7. i know i have more oil pressure than that! so clearly the sending unit isn't changing its resistance with pressure so what...

Who makes a good Oil sending unit?

Haven't tested it yet, but of it is pegged at zero, it is grounding itself out right? That could just be a wiring problem. My old one didn't work great, but it was leaking too. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk

Who makes a good Oil sending unit?

during test drove worked great! restarted the truck and it was pegged at 20psi and wouldn't move. restarted again, pegged at 10, restarted again stuck on 0. wtf, is my truck killing sending units or is it a gauge issue? i tested the open & grounded circuit again and the gauge seems to work...

    New Slip Yoke for NP241

It was easier then a yard. I had 2 already. One was leaking from a weep hole (not even correct part then). Plugged it and still wasnt happy. This one was really scored and pitted. So it was only matter of time. I am alittle annoyed that my tail bushing was worn bad after only 8,000 miles. Im...

I will go test that next question is then where do i find a replacement 80psi gauge?

Who makes a good Oil sending unit?

Will do. I moved the sender to the lower position for now. No change so that is good. Maybe just end up putting it back up top, it wasnt horrible to remove this time since i had my cruise servo removed. Last time was a huge pain Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk

Who makes a good Oil sending unit?

Got my mech gauge hooked up to the port above filter. Almost 50psi @ 1000rpm with a luke warm engime temp. Will what it is at hot idle/1000rpm (throttle kicker engaged/defrost setting) Dash gauge reported about 35psi. The port above the filter and the one behond the dizzy are the same oil...

    New Slip Yoke for NP241

Who makes a good Oil sending unit?

Ya, for the factory gauge. I had a leaky 60psi unit paired with my 80psi gauge so that needed to be changed/paired correctly. It was working great and i drove 3 times and something gave out. I need to make sure the plug is in the block above the filter, but there is no reason i can't extend...

Who makes a good Oil sending unit?

Just bought an 80psi Standard Motor one, in less than 200 miles either it or my gauge died. Won't read over 30psi now. I do plan to test the pressure with my mechanical diagnostic gauge to make sure, but at this point i am really pointing my finger at the sending unit. So who makes a good one...

    New Slip Yoke for NP241

No one knows i guess. For now i think i will just replace seal and bushing, but considering there is only 8500 miles on the current ones, something created the fail point, so i will probably be doing this again with a new yoke. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk

    New Slip Yoke for NP241

does the brand really matter? they range in price from 43.00 on ebay for a Century Automotive, up to 140 for a Forged Sonnax. I am not running anything that would required the forged unit, so I am not really considering that.
