    Fuel tank Selector Switch issue

    on the 82 hit the switch no solenoid noise that its switching from LH to RH tank but the fuel gauge pegs out. I'm going to guess time to get nasty and drop tanks and look at the solenoid that makes the swap

    I always ran lucas oil fuel system cleaner and did add a quart of their oil system treatment. Also find a filling station that sells 100% gasoline... no added Ethanol or Naptha, one draws moisture one corrodes metal

    Water pump on a ford.... back in highschool i had an 85 F150 had to change the thermostat a $4 part..... putting the water pump back on the tab broke, .... and i think that replacement i ended up taking half of the radiator out..... one and only Ford i've owned.

    I think they sell those solar tenders at farm/ranch supply stores also. One of these days I'll rig up a system that will run my interior lights on a horse trailer from a marine battery box, that way when using the trailer when parked we can if needed use the lights on the tack room or on the side.

    WOW! I haven't tracked MPG's on my 82 since 1995 but that is better than my 10 2500HD which sucks about 15-16MPG with a mix of highway and back road driving

    I haven't actually locked that truck in 10 years, nor has the ignition required a key for 20 years *provided i used the old worn key and not lock it* They used to be at walmart, dad used to put them on everything. Personally I haven't used a door key in over 10 years thanks to remote locks.
