Awesome. Ok. I saw some guy had that switch screwed into the port above the oil filter and looked. I have a hole there that looks like it has a small plug in it. Was just making sure. Looks like I already have the temp sensor that is required for the gauge in block. It looks like it is inbetween...- imjohnny

76 is electric. Mine only has the light, not a gauge. So you are saying it is prewired for the gauge, just wasn't installed in mine. Just need to add a second sending unit to the oil pressure and temp and that should be it?- imjohnny

So I have the truck home and am loving it. I do really want the gauges. The truck is a 77, and I picked up a very clean/working 76 cluster that has oil pressure, volts, and temp in it. I didn’t buy from junkyard. Put in a brand new balancer and pulley yesterday. Wobble is still there. Not in the balancer. Just the pulley.- imjohnny

I don't think the alt will have a problem. It is on the same size pulley as it was before. It is the same. The other two got bigger instead of making the one smaller. If I do have an issue, I'll be asking for advice on a small pulley alt to grab from the yard. I am glad it is fixed. Just don't...- imjohnny

I can understand that. They aren't rare in the wild in some places. My local yards didn't have them. Can't find them new easily. I am still unsure how it would have 2 different size pulleys going to the same waterpump and not cause an issue. I ended up going to a new pulley that is all the same...- imjohnny

I have thought about the serp conversion so I will look into it. My ac is on the driver side. AC brackets aren't on the exhaust. The front mount is up above the PS and the rear mounts are integrated with the carb mounts. There is absolutely no flex to them.- imjohnny

Mine is the 77 though, not an 87. No serp belts, no ribbed belts. I have the 3 v belt set up. Can't get rid of ac. I am in Florida and with the kids in the car that is not a recipe for success with no air. Haha. Everything is stock on mine including ac and I am not off roading her. So I think...- imjohnny

What would be the right fix? It had all the belts routed that same way originally. I think the lower crank pulley was changed at some point. Anywhere I look it lists the pulley with 3 identical sizes as the correct one for my year and engine. No one even makes the one with 2 different sizes. The...- imjohnny

You are totally right. Wow, I feel so dumb now. It's obvious, but I just never caught it. When I picked her up, only one of the belts was on the water pump. The alternator belt went up there. But the power steering belt was shorter and didn't go up there. I wondered why it had an empty groove...- imjohnny

Pulled the pulley off, and it was a little wonky looking. Like the back of it has just a slight warp to it. I am going to replace it. But the problem is, I can't find it. It has 3 grooves, but 1 is larger than the other 2. I can find one that has 3 identical grooves new, but the one with 1...- imjohnny

I think I am just gonna do it all. Compressor, evaporator, accumulator, condenser, and the lines. Just start new. So in that case you are saying dump the oil from the compressor and add a total of 7 oz for the whole system right? -
