    No. The thermostat on LS engines is in the neck of the waterpump on the bottom hose. 99-02 have the thermostat integrated into the neck, have to buy the whole neck. 03+ have the thermostat in the neck, but it's removeable.

    2002 vortec meaning 4.8,5.3,or 6.0? If so, the above is not correct. The thermostat on those motors is on the bottom hose where it meets the water pump.

    My honest opinion follows, take it for what it's worth. If you just cannot work on the truck right now, thats fine. But if you dont WANT to work on it, I woudn't buy an older vehicle. If you have to pay someone to work on it all the time, you will QUICKLY have WAY more than it's worth in it...

    Thanks for the responses guys. Got it all replaced and everything is working well. Neither side had wavy washers, so I just reassembled as it was, and threw the little black things away!

    Hey Guys, Rebuilding the rear brakes on my K10 and have a few questions. I keep reading about some "wavy washers" that should be there? But I have taken mine apart, and do not see anything of the sort. Possible they have been lost over the years, or do some set ups just not have them...

    Think everyone is missing the question. Everything is now new. How much should the piston come out if it is off the truck and I pump the brakes? A millimeter or so with each pump? Or should it come out pretty far? Trying to make sure everything is now working A OK.

    This is the pic HRPC has posted of his crossmembers. Mine is the bottom one. I bought one like the top one, hoping it would fit, but it would not work. If you can call and talk to him and get measurements, that'd be awesome.

    I just thought about this.. My crossmember is bent so badly, that when I tried putting on a new trans mount, I was not able to bolt it up. The current mount has broken rubber, so it has a tremendous amount of flex in it. So I think my crossmember will be worthless to get accurate measurements...
