here is a picture of the area of the block. Don’t know if that’s what you were referring to. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Rigged throttle cable

I did forget to mention I checked the code and it is date coded for 1976. Images I found of my engine set up match a 1976 Nova. Not certain that’s where it came from. Taking a guess. Here is another pic of the bracket as rigged Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Rigged throttle cable

Right now there are no pivots or anything from what I could tell. It goes straight from the cab, drops down and comes up in a U before going to a rigged bracket and to the carburetor Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Rigged throttle cable

Hey guys. On my 1982 Chevy C10 I noticed it has been rigged by previous owners. The engine is a 250 from a 1976 vehicle. I think a Nova. The original straight six is long gone. Anyway I noticed the throttle cable was not done correctly and has been rigged on the truck. Does anyone know of a way...

What is your daily if not square body?

My daily is a 2018 Honda Civic EX-T, but I also have a 1980 Ford Pinto and a 1987 Chevy Cavalier sedan. The Cavalier is a lot of fun to drive since not many around. Currently my Dad is driving my Cavalier while I fix his car.

    Solid pedal but light on

I’m not sure but will have to check that out later today. I thought if I drove it I might reset the light by a couple hard stops but as it was not registered I couldn’t drive it much or far. Today I get plates for it so I can try that out later on.

    Vent window compatibility

Hey guys, While looking at why the passenger side vent window was leaking on my 82 C10 I found out the bottom pivot is actually rusted away and broken, so I need to replace it. At a salvage yard by me there is a G20 van with the vent windows. Does anyone know if they are compatible with the...

    Solid pedal but light on

So my 1982 C10 had no brake pedal when I bought it. Thought it was just needing bled, so I filled the master cylinder and bled the brakes, and found a leaky brake line. I installed a new line, and re-bled the brakes. I've now got a solid, high pedal but noticed the brake light is still on at the...

I been outside with the truck after I cut the grass... Wanting to know what makes things tick, and what makes certain things not tick... like the radio, blower motor, dome light lol. It's all part of the journey to me.

Shit to me that's the only way to learn about something I don't know anything about. Last square body truck I seen was in 1997 when my friend had one he drove daily.

Oh cool. I figure I'll throw a coat of paint on it and be done with the bumper. It'll be a truck that'll haul whatever I need for the house, so perfect it doesn't need to be... for now. Eventually I'll work on restoring it

That's good information. I was wondering why it had the Silverado package but 250 engine. I'm not sure if the rear bumper is original to the truck or not, but looks like it hadn't been replaced.

Yep, still the 250. Runs pretty decent. The doors aren't original from what I can tell, but appears the driver door panel was put on the replacement door. It's a little on the rough side, but nothing I can't get fixed to be a good running, driving truck. I have a line on a pair of door panels...

Found this in the glove box. If I’m reading it right the truck has Silverado trim when new. I now have a direction as to the model type. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks for the suggestion. I didn't even think of that. There's a 78 at a salvage yard around the corner from me, so I'll have to take a look at the bed. I went to pick up the truck yesterday, and at first the truck wouldn't start but once it fired up it ran smoothly. When I got the truck home...

Thanks! I forgot to mention it was priced $1000, but since it would need trailered due to bad brakes he agreed to $800. I checked trucks at $1000-1500 that had 305 and 350s, but the body was junk to where it would need a new bed, and possibly new cab. The bed isn't perfect on this one but a...

Hey guys, I registered a while back when I started looking for a truck. My dad and I live close to each other, and we both agreed a truck is needed. Since my shed needed major work I decided to pull the trigger, and always liked the old GM square bodies. So I told him the truck I would be...
