    will this bulb fit in my guage cluster?

    They should, other than the neg. & pos. Issue, the dimmer wont work right, the resistance in the switch would be much too low, but they will work as long as fit in a 168 & 194 socket, usually 168 is what you'd go with in the cluster.

    The resistor is A good possibility, Ive seen switches burn up also, but usualy if only high works its either a corroded wire, or a burned up resistor, probably under $10 bucks at oreillys.
