    it is on one side. I removed the lens and wiggled the bulb around while someone had the brake pressed. I cleaned the contacts the best I could but I couldn't get it to work until I restarted the truck and toggled my lights. The truck seems cursed haha

    On another thread on here, they stated that only the 96 or later models of the astro van would be long enough to work. You are correct, the teeth at the steering box has a flat section where it only fits on the shaft one way. I guess i'll be going back to the junk yard for a jeep cherokee...

    When you say the tie rods, you dont mean the drag link ends do you? The tie rod ends are connected to a bar which goes from one side to the other. I didn't tough the tie rod ends and neither do I know how to adjust to compensate for the this 1/4 turn. All I know is you can't adjust the drag...

    The shaft fits just fine, its just that the upper part of the shaft is turned to the side. That's where the 1/4 turn comes from....

    So i found the culprit, the steering shaft. I got the shaft from a 97 astro van I believe. Here is the comparison between them; Stock is to the right, the astro van shaft is on the left This is where my 1/4 turn is coming from. Should I just go with a Jeep steering shaft?

    Not sure if I understood you right, but I took off the pitman arm and saw where exactly the middle of the steering was. It was about 3.5 complete turns. So i turned the wheel from one side to about 1.75. I re adjusted the drag link ends to connect the pitman arm. Now my wheels turn the same...

    The guy that aligned my tires is running his own person front end alignment, but your right, it wouldn't hurt to call and ask if he could check it out. But hell I wish I could find a lifetime alignment deal!!! Lucky bastard!!

    I failed to mention that I also replaced the drag link ends. I tried matching the amount of turns it took to uninstall to the amount it took to install, I may of been a little off. I was told this could be it.... I hope this is it instead of getting it aligned again.

    All I can say is that my upper ball joints are duralast and my lower are value craft. Both are from auto zone!
