    1986 Chevy K10 - sucks for power :(

Have you pulled your plugs to check them yet? It is going to tell you more of what is going on inside the motor

    4 link rear

Depends on the design and bag/coilover placement. But they should be able to carry as much as your truck could if properly designed. There are many linked trucks that tow big heavy things.

    Squeeky shackles after freeing them

Depends a lot on the material used they have a name for the softness of something I am just not that smart to remember it. Not all poly is the same some manufacturers use different softnesses. And it is a game of luck. Some applications will not see the movement that will cause a squeak. Poly is...

    Squeeky shackles after freeing them

The sleeve and bolt is where the movement should take place. However with suspension movement the poly is moving against any thing it is touching. Since it is a stiffer material then rubber it will not deflect ad much as rubber. This causes it to slide against it. Unlike the rubber that will...

    Bondo

Try to get the metal as flat as you can. If you don't plan on hauling anything you would be fine using a filler but I would use some all metal filler before bondo.

    Squeeky shackles after freeing them

You have to keep them lubed up. Poly tends to make noise and requires more attention to prevent the noise

    Ls to sm 465

I have the parts and want the granny low. Its not the typical swap which is fine with me. The 5.3 I want for reliability and power. I would put a nv4500 behind it but don't want to spend the money and finding them locally is difficult. I did find that advanced adapters has everything needed for...

    Speedo acting up

I just find it odd how I could drive it 40 miles with it happening and then stop and it begins working correctly again. I was wondering if it was something other then a sticky cable

    Speedo acting up

I understand however it normally is 5 mph over when it suddenly jumps and will stay 15 to 20 mph for miles on end not just surging like the cable is binding. It is not a momentary thing.

    Speedo acting up

Why would that cause a constant 15 to 20 mph over for an extended periods of time

    Ls to sm 465

sm 465 behind a 5.3 can it be done? So like the title states is it possible? What is needed to make it work?

    Speedo acting up

I have a 89 Jimmy and when it is colder out or when I first start driving it the speedo will work fine then shoot up to 15 to 20 faster then I am traveling. It is worse when its cold out. Whrn this is happening it makes quite the noise behind the dash. What would cause this to happen?

    School me on the 454...

Keep in mind the newer 8.1l motor still gets pretty bad gas mileage. Better then the 454 but not great

    School me on the 454...

A larger engine has more rotating mass which requires more power to keep it running at the same speed as a engine with smaller components. Big rigs don't really compare as they tow all the time. A smaller motor in that instance would be required to work harder and use more fuel to do the same...
