What have you done to your square lately??

Hosed it off, it's been in a barn for ten years. My kid was amazed it had colours.

    Proper (Short Distance) Towing?

I have an '83 C10 Suburban, that doesn't seem to have any hooks or eyes at the front. It's just got a rubber skirt. I want to know the best place to hook the tow rope, I'm just dragging it from the yard to the slab in front of the garage and back, maybe about 25 yards in a straight line...

Stall Speed for Torque Converter '83 700R4

It's a 2WD 1/2 ton (C10 Suburban) w/ a 350 V8. I'm wanting to put a diesel in, and I have heard different versions of what the stock stall speed is, everywhere from 1200 - 1800rpm. Did they put different converters in for the 6.2 DD?

    Min Spec. Diesel

How about a 3-53, there's one for sale locally. Not sure what I'd have to do to mate it to the 700R4?

    Min Spec. Diesel

Those have more torque than the original 6.2's though, almost an upgrade. :D I'm thinking something 2-3 liters maybe, 70-90 horse around 90-130lb ft of torque. I'm hoping to scale it way down, so I don't have any trouble fitting it in the engine bay, and I won't be doing over 50-55 in it. Safe...

    Min Spec. Diesel

What's the smallest diesel you've ever seen in a square body? I see people talking about 3 cyl tractor conversions and stuff, but I'm just looking for opinions.

    Fenders or Front Clip

Bugger, starting to sound more complicated, maybe I should just pull off the fenders?

    Fenders or Front Clip

Now, be nice. Now the italians own Mopar, and the japanese Chevy, Ford is the only American company left.

    Fenders or Front Clip

Yeah, that's kind of what I want to do. Even getting to the far spark plug is a pain for me as it is. I figure the more I can get at the better job I can do. So is that the only thread covering the removal or is there a better one?

    Fenders or Front Clip

You think it's easier not to do it? I'm under 6' and find a real problem getting at stuff in the engine bay, and it's had mice in the carb and a possum nesting in the spare battery tray amongst other things. There's all kinds of crap in the engine bay and I think some wiring has been gnawed...

    Fenders or Front Clip

I got a lot of work to do on mine, it's been sitting in a shed for several years now. It started when something decided to nest in the carb, and stopped me turning it over every few weeks. Now the engine won't even turn over, and the carb is a mess. I'm going to do a lot of work on it, carb...
