Edelbrock dry after sitting a few days

You need a fuel pressure regulator for an Edelbrock? My used freebie 1406 came with one, but I'm not using it. Maybe it's for trucks with aftermarket fuel pumps?

    Sem Tintable Bedliner

I'm late to this party, but I used "Raptor" bedliner for when I painted my whole truck. It came with a spray gun and I used an air compressor to coat the whole truck. I mixed black gloss paint with it, and it came out a nice semi gloss finish(the bedliner was a white-ish color in raw form). I...

Questions about a DOD 5.3L swap

From what I've seen people end up losing power and having less than desirable performance when they keep DOD. The lifters usually end up needing to be replaced, at least in the G8's. G8 guys make huge gains when they swap it out, and supposedly only lose about 2mpg without it.

Going from Quadrajet to Edelbrock 600cfm

Hmmm I'll take a crack at it tomorrow. I guess it shouldn't be that hard. Thanks guys. Btw in terms of the electric choke, how would I go about fixing that up? I don't see the wiring for it, the mouth breathing owner before me must have gutted it while he was making it a hack mud truck.

Going from Quadrajet to Edelbrock 600cfm

Since I'm new to carbs, I'd rather write the check then turn the wrench in terms of getting the right stuff to make it work, unless you have pics or a how to on it.

Going from Quadrajet to Edelbrock 600cfm

Hey guys, I'm looking to swap carbs. The QJ that came with the truck is beat and it doesn't work right, the previous owner hacked it up. It has a manual choke conversion which doesn't work right, the electric choke was gutted and removed. Also my secondaries don't work right, they don't open...

    New gauge cluster

Sunpro gauges are on sale at Advance Auto Parts, and they look like they'd fit perfectly in the dash. I was about to try it, and it looks like it works. Nice job.

My pitman arm has a lot of wear where the tie rod goes in....

Isn't it hardened steel? I like your idea in theory, but I don't think I'll have enough blades to do that. I do have access to a battery powered snap on sawzall, and I could buy blades. I'll keep that in mind if I can't find one on CL or online.

My pitman arm has a lot of wear where the tie rod goes in....

Yeah I bought it two months ago, and I replaced the steering components last week, and I noticed it while working on it. I'll keep my eyes open for one. It sucks, this is the one thing that's holding me back from getting the truck aligned and the new tires and rims put on.

My pitman arm has a lot of wear where the tie rod goes in....

None of those have a STOCK replacement, it's weird. Only for lifted trucks.

I apologize, I meant drag link. Yes the pitman arm has a lot of wear, and it's obvious.

My pitman arm has a lot of wear where the tie rod goes in....

And even with a brand new Moog and AC delco TR, the threads are past the pitman arm hole and the nut bottoms out and the TR wobbles up and down about a 1/4 of an inch. I tried looking for a stock style replacement, but all I find are the modified ones for lifted trucks. I don't plan on lifting...

I'm about to replace the entire braking system....

And I'm curious if the 3/4-1 ton trucks have any heavier duty calipers/drums that would be a nice swap on my truck(I have 15 inch rims, so if the "bigger" trucks brakes won't fit I'm okay with that) I don't plan on towing much, and the biggest tires it's going to see for a while are 33's, so I'm...

Noob question about rim/tire fitment on stock lift

Hello everyone, I have a painfully obvious noob question. I'd like to rock 33x12.50R15 tires on the stock lift for my 1979 K10. I'm not afraid to trim/massage my wheel wells to make them fit if need be, but I'd like the tires to stick in as close to stock BS as possible. I was looking at the...

    Hello from Connecticut!

Thanks guys for the welcomes! Hink I checked out that truck last night, it runs great for the most part, but I found out that it's using a 350 balencer and flex plate on that 383. It needs the 400 ones from what I'm told. Who knows if it's damaged internally or not already. It drove great, but...

    Hello from Connecticut!

I wanted to join this forum because I've been looking for a nice 73-79 K series for quite some time. Most of the ones around here are rot boxes or C series trucks. I've been doing a lot of research on these trucks, and I hope to find one I like and buy it so I can have a reliable back up/winter...
