So I've looked around and can't get a good answer so maybe one of you guys have done it and can help...my quadrajet has this electric choke with one connector but there's no wire anywhere for it so where should I run the wire to so it'll work? Or just junk it and get a manual choke?
Its pegged out past 60 so I'm assuming its grounded out somewhere I just swapped cabs so I may not have a ground hooked up somewhere all my other gauges work...I'm gonna do some more stuff to it this weekend so hopefully I can figure that out and the mark a few more things off my list:005:
I have a quadrajet...I thought was stock...what kind of carb is that for? Im trying to figure out how to read those electrical diagrams to figure out my oil pressure gauge they're confusing lol
I've read through a few pages and can't find anything about this thing...its on the driver side valve cover..has a wire that goes to the tach spot on the distributor, a wire to the fuse box, ground to the block and the 2 wires come off to a connector with nothing to plug into
Damn I was hoping I wouldn't have to it just looks like a pain to get that box out and I gotta do it twice, take the one out of my old cab and put in my new cab once I take that one out. I'd keep the ac but I have no plan on running it and that box is to bulky looking under the hood
I got another question fellas...so the new cab has ac blah blah..since I'm getting rid of the box off the firewall would I have to change the one under the dash or could I just leave it be and run just heat?
The main reason I'm want to get rid of it is because my truck is a non ac truck, I'm buying a new cab which the only thing it has is the big ac box nothing else like condenser, hoses etc. That box just seems so bulky
after a little more digging I found pictures of both firewalls, so I would have to make a cover for the big rectangular hole cut 2 holes in it for the hoses to the heater core and then cut out a piece beside the round hole and then my heater box could go in place, im not an ac type of guy so...
So the cab I'm buying is an 82...mines an 81 but it has ac and mine don't can I just take that ac box off the firewall and put my heater box in place? Has anyone done it I can't find much info
Hey all my names Jason I'm 21 and on my second square body...its an 81 3/4 ton I got from my girlfriends dad he's had it for 20 years an dropped at tree on it a few months ago so now I'm completely redoing it..cab, bed, pretty much everything
