Shackle flip is worth 4 inches. If you use longer shackles you can gain 1 inch for every 2 inches of length. So if you buy shackls that are 4 inches longer when you do the shackle flip you only gain 2 more inches.
The angle on the pic is at a weird angle. Its almost an optical allusion. What kind of measurments do you have from level ground to the bottom of the bed and the bottom of the bumper? Does the bed floor tilt the same way?
LOL did this exact thing today screwing with my riding mower using the jumper cables from the wifes Yukon with the door open. Jumped to wifes truck off with mine but never did fix the damn mower grrr.
You guuys must have little arms to be able to get the wiring loose on the sending unit cause mines way to close for me to get my arm up there without loosening he tank and letting it drop a few inches.
Shouldnt be any cracking on a 5k tire. Sounds like a 10 year tire that he bought from somebody else and sees all the cracking and now wants his money back.

I hate to say it ive even left mine in the back of the truck in the case and it filled up with water lol still works but yea any electrical item will some day wear out just a matter of how you treat it and how its cared for.
I use my Dewalt sawsall several times a day at work form cutting exhaust pipe to cutting the whole front end off of a car and its never let me down and its over 8 years old.
